(2017) PG Tremont Waters to LSU

Recommended Posts

I'm more worried about UK trying to get to his dad. Money talks. UK doesn't have to be on a recruit the longest. They can come in at the end and pretty much grab who they want. You wave NBA promises and fat cash in front of me and I would have a hard time picking anything else.
However, Indiana is the perfect place for any talented under the radar or pollished star who wants to succeed at the highest level . We put kids in the NBA at a consistent level. There are no promises or gimmicks, just hard work.

Kansas isn't our threat here. Pretty sure they take Sexton.

Just read on ESPN that Duval is there this weekend as well. Wonder if Waters is wondering just now exactly what he's doing there.

You think this is a reaction to something Cal heard from Waters pap?

No, I think Trae Young and Quade Green are better point guards. UK has been recruiting them forever, may not get either. Waters is the only one who thinks he is better

Pap, how do you see the Top PG's in the class shaking out?

Duval- Maryland (?)

Sexton- KU/Bama

Green- 'Cuse/UK

Coleman- Duke/UT

Young- UK/OU

Scruggs- X

Waters- IU/UK

Recruiting is so fluid I'm going to look stupid in a month buuttt....

Duval- Don't think MU, more like UK/Kansas but UCLA is probably the favorite

Sexton- KU

Green- People around here say he's going to upstate NY. Feels like UK is sneaking in so I would not be surprised by that.

Coleman- UT

Young- Oklahoma. Again, when UK is second a commit is not surprising.

Scruggs- I guess X. Lost communication on that one.

Waters- waiting until spring helps IU. I think he gets through his Kansas visit UK push doesn't work out. IU

Is Waters definitely waiting until the spring to decide?

OK group, does Duval's re-opening of his recruitment impact our efforts with Waters one way or the other?

I believe our biggest competition for Waters is puke. If pike were desperate in spring and Waters wasn't committed and they didn't have a point they would get one in "free agency." They're looking at bigger fish right now and if they can get Duval they will.

It seems to me that pretty much none of the top point guards have committed yet. None.

I'm sure all of this jockeying is based on info that coaching staffs are getting, but it's all but impossible to read tea leaves as an outsider when so many of them are preferring the same five or six teams.

With Duke and UK and a few others taking PG every season it leads to these problems.

Hmm.. a trend? Those teams usually aren't too bad in the tournament.
