However, with that said, Glass will either have to announce an extension or termination. With two years left on Crean's contract, he will either have to give him an extension to ensure Crean doesn't leave, otherwise, the end is near for him.

Eh.  I don't need to see the highlight from the Mike Davis team that led to the last 15 years of misery.   Without this win, Indiana does not give Davis his extension, never has to hire Sampson, and probably never hires Crean.  We'd have had a far different path had Duke won this game.  This is not a "sweet dreams" moment for me.  It's the beginning of a nightmare.  Great win, but it got the wrong coach an extension.

This is my whole time favorite IU team. Granted I wasn't old enough to see any championship teams, but I can remember watching the 90s teams with Guyton and those guys with my dad. This team was just so fun to watch for me though, the played like a true unit not one or two guys trying to be the heroes.

That being said, even though it gave davis the extension they still fired him. They problem started when they hired Sampson. IU was not in a terrible spot when davis left. Yea they weren't winning as much but that's all, it was still a destination spot. They just completely flopped on that hire.

The only verifiable information we have is that he is out recruiting. I think that fact strongly indicates you are correct. I don't think Crean is recruiting without assurance that he will be back next year.
