recker222000 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I'm done talking about who the new coach will be. We still have a coach. Not even a legit rumor that he's out. Sent from my SM-G935P using BtownBanners mobile app Which leads me to believe that he is actually receiving information. The validity of that info is entirely up for debate, but I believe someone he trust is giving him this information. Crean is a dead man walking. Tom White Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I just hope whoever is coaching the team next year gets the guys to play as an actual TEAM. I got so tired last night seeing them play like five individuals each thinking they should go one-on-one while watching our opponents play cohesive team ball. Avoiding consecutive shot clock violations would be a bonus as well. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Things like an NBA first rounder at PG is something I've seen tagged on that fits. Aka, put Marshall at a school with recruiting benefits and let him do what he's always done. Have Bennett, Archie, and Sean met the 30/30 rule? I don't even want to consider a coach who has 10+ years of experience as hasn't done that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Is it really a 30/30 rule or is it more a 30/20 rule? UNC is the only team outside the top 20 defensively to win it, and they were 21. I havent looked at all the national champs off efficiencies. To me top 30 defense isnt good enough, the stats show that. Quote

Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Could be some big names out on market. Jeremiah Tillmon and Trent Frazier are both studs. UCLA's whole class is good. I heard Mizzou had a 4 star kid waiting on the new coach to decide. State had a good guard as well. Umass has 2 4 stars last year they may have a kid or two. I expect more to happen in the next day or so. Most schools have came out and made their choice, but coaching leaving old schools for new jobs could bring more kids into the mix. Most of the coaches we'd be interested in are still coaching or will be focused on the NCAA come Sunday. I'm sure Glass will wait until we have a firm answer/discussion with our next coach - it might be after the tourney unfortunately. If he were going to extend Crean, I'd expect that announcement before the weekend is over. Class of '66 Old Fart and thebigweave 2 Quote

Grad guys will be in high demand this year more than previous years. Surprised there has been just little movement on coaching front. UMass has no recruits. There will be a name or two that gets mentioned with the NBA like every year. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
