Actually, it just says "if he makes a run it changes everything.."

The Janitor doesn't specify what "a run" is at all and he certainly doesn't say "deep". Could winning the BTT be what he's talking about? Or is he referring to a run in the actual NCAA tourney? Who knows at this point.

His credibility is shot to me. He said he was 100% gone. Done deal. Now he changes his tune.

Stop panicking. The Janitor is always vague and people misinterpret his messages. He could be referring to legitimately anything from Crean staying to the timing of his departure.

I'm sure I just fell victim to that. These tweets might as well be in quatrains! Lol

That was such a good movie.

My favorite of all time. Myself and my buddies watched it the night guy before we left for college.

Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life son.

I know this board will go into meltdown mode if it's Alford, but I'd be pleased compared to other options. If it's not Donovan, Stevens, SEAN Miller, or Bennett. Then Alford would be cool with me.

We would return to recruiting 5 star players and likely have a great chance with in state kids.

Id like to be having the year UCLA is having and project to have next year.

Of course, that's if the fantasy hires are No Gos.

Maybe he means we lose to Wisconsin and Crean literally runs out of bloomington

I don't know if I'd say it's my favorite, real good movie though.

Anyway, back to the regularly scheduled programming.  Glass, just pull the plug and fire Crean already.

But... why? I'm excited to watch Alford pull an Alford and flop in the tournament as usual.

Let's see what he does this tourney.

This tourney says nothing. He has 5-star talent and lucked out on a family that is obsessed with UCLA and will send their kids there no matter who the coach is. He's not getting a kid like Ball to IU. As sad as it is to say, it's much easier to recruit to UCLA than it is IU. Talent is carrying him this year and everything about his coaching career supports that.

How? He has never progressed past the Sweet Sixteen and has missed the tournament more than 50% of his years coaching. He's actually a worse coach than Crean.

If you want to count Iowa against him, sure. That makes up the bulk of his career.

Oh, he took perennial powerhouse New Mexico and put them into NCAA multiple times with no resources.

He has had 4 years at UCLA. 2 sweet sixteens and then this year which is better than any Crean year and are legit title contenders. They project to be great next year too. He had 1 bad year at UCLA.

I think it boils down to this with Alford. If the game is in crunch time and you look down the sideline with Alford as your coach, are you confident? I know I'm not. We can't rely on talent to win games all the time. We've seen this with Crean

Those New Mexico teams were packed with talent, right?

The BIG isn't the MWC. And how far did he go in the tourney with those teams?
