One of the bigger boosters I know just pulled out of our meeting for January. So much for taking his pulse on this issue. If the usual group holds I'll still have 3 five-digit boosters in the room and talk to them about it though.

Some of them are former coaches and coaching is a fraternity, that could be part of it.

I'm not sure I've ever heard any writers or analysts at this level say a coach will get fired when it's only 10 games into a season.

I haven't seen it either... It's just... From a fan's perspective, Crean's on a seat made out of still-molten lava. Now the writers/analysts are telling the public that if he improves his teams D he'll be back. Is it a disconnect, or are the writers playing nice and being politically correct?
