Crean spent extra time talking to Crawford in lineup. No excuse to get schooled by a Frosh. So absolutely disappointed in our intensity, and roster makeup. No depth, no size.

That's just it. As much as Crean preaches leadership and brings in coaches and other people to speak to his team, he isn't the leader these kids need. The emporer has no cloak and hasn't fooled anyone outside of Glass for years

I'm not sure if he has Glass THAT fooled, or if Glass just doesn't give a crap.  It's one or the other, if he had the expectations he claims he would've fired Crean this off season.  Glass is the biggest Crean fanboy around so there is that too.

 

EDIT:  But hey, Crean will schedule enough teams you can't find on Google to win 20 a year.

That's good to hear. Good sportsmanship there by Crean. I turned the tv off after Crawford's last layup. WF had no more timeouts and CTC calls one giving Manning the opportunity to design the winning play!

Seriously, what is it with Crean and any kind of tournament?

 

It's so upsetting how true this is.  Even the 2012-2013 team played in that tournament in NYC, we barely beat a crappy Georgia team that didn't even make the NCAA Tournament, then barely beat Georgetown in double overtime.

 

Whether it's the B1G tournament, Maui or some other nonconference tournament, or the NCAA tournament, I just have no confidence whatsoever that we'll have a good game plan going in.

 

I never felt confident about Maui at any point either, even when analysts were picking us to win. 

 

And that's the thing that sucks, because I do like Crean, I want him to be the guy and to be successful here, but I just don't know anymore.
