Bailey7878 Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Jake Forrester, Westtown School (Pa.): Forrester finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds in a 76-66 loss to Our Savior (NY) on Dec. 3. Forrester had 22 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to Georgetown Prep at the National Hoop Fest on Dec. 9. Forrester was scoreless in 10 minutes in a 77-69 win over Holy Spirit at the National Hoop Fest on Dec. 10.Was he injured, sick, or foul trouble in that third game? 10 minutes seems really low for a key front court player. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBannersHe sounds like a for sure four year guy who might need a redshirt season. I'm not seeing numbers that show he could come in and play right away unless the competition is really good.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote
Stuhoo Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Part of his reduced stat line might be a product of playing for a high school team that seems to have an offensive game plan of launching as many three pointers as humanly possible. They attempted 25 of 'em in the game this week. That's a lot. GloryDays, HinnyHoosier, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and 1 other 4 Quote

He is 6-9 and a Duke commit, probable McDonalds all American, and has the green light to cut loose wherever he is on the floor. Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 23, 2017 Author Posted December 23, 2017 Link to box score to Westtown's 62-60 loss to Cannon School in the Chick-fil-A classic. Either whistle happy refs or a very sloppy game based on the number of fouls called. Forrester fouled out with only 12 minutes of court time. http://s3.amazonaws.com/vnn-aws-sites/9511/files/2017/12/ed209a5bed4a5526-Game-16-Cannon-School-vs.-Westtown-School.pdf 323SGrant 1 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Looking like a long term prospect. Good athleticism. But his talented HS team is losing a lot and he isn't exceeding expectations. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
IUHAHN81 Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Can only hope he is yet another recruit we don't expect to impact right away that ends up standing out. Seems that is becoming the norm for us. Quote

Phinisee will come in here and either start right away or be very prominent off the bench Anderson is the shooter we need and will play Hunter will contribute significantly if not start. He will get a shot at time because of that alone and his supposed motor. Race had decent size but isn't too athletic either. Jake will be the only one to offer both skill sets. Well, and Juwan. I just wish we were seeing better results this season in HS. If he was getting these numbers in winning efforts, I'd like that better. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
Brass Cannon Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 His rebounding numbers look pretty good. Anybody see him play. How's his defense? Quote
VO5 Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 He had one bad game recently. Since when is 14 and 11 a bad game for a guy who likely never gets a play ran for him? He’ll contribute before year 3 IUsafety, GloryDays, thebigweave and 4 others 7 Quote

Clifton Moore is taller and bigger and can't get a sniff. When he does, he looks very awkward and unready for D1 basketball. Forrester isn't as good as Moore was; and I just don't see it. The "yang" to this is I really think Miller believes in building teams that have experience and size; so with a few 4 year players; I expect solid teams. Quote
