That's the difference between recruiting four-stars and low 3/2s. In football, those players are usually just missing one of the list of qualities you need in a player. They're too aggressive or make bad decisions or have a weird form and maybe you can correct a lot of it, but not everything.

As recruiting improves, these stupid mistakes are the ones that will fade away.

When Lynch was the coach we blamed the coach....now it is the star level of  the players that lead to the dumb second half mistakes?

And the dumb first half mistakes.

Do you blame Kevin Wilson for 3 fumbles in a row?

While I agree it is good to not get blown out I am expressing a bit of frustration with the "close but no cigar" games.

Last week, in my opinion, was worse since it was at home (and we made a ton of mistakes )against an overrated PSU team.

No but we can blame him for not having a quality QB ready to replace a QB that leaves on the projected timeline.

I hate this flawed argument. This has been discussed time and time again on this board. Wilson took full responsibility for the QB fiasco of 2014. That is not something that is fixed overnight. We tried to get Chad Kelly as a JUCO transfer, he didn't want to sit behind Sudfeld. We got the top JUCO passer next year, Lagow. We brought in a couple of grad transfers for visits (which is demographic CKW typically doesn't recruit), they weren't any better than what we already have. We landed King and Ramsey. You can't expect freshmen to be able to contribute this quickly.

We won't know whether CKW truly fixed the QB problem from 2014 until next year with the progress of King and Ramsey. I also think a full offseason in our program for Lagow will help a lot.

If somebody takes full responsibility then they are basically saying yes go ahead and blame me.

Absolutely, but you're crying over split milk. The mistake was made, Wilson recruited King, Ramsey and Lagow; you have to give him the proper amount of time to see if he fixed the problem. It's too early.

Btw, you're also stating a problem that 85% of teams in college football have: a QB problem.

I'm not crying. I'm stating the problem. When it no longer is the problem people will stop bringing it up.
