Indiana vs Northwestern Game Thread (Oct. 22 - 12:00PM - BTN)

Good news is that the defense played better in the second half and we are now only 290 days from reading the forum posts predicting "this will be the year" we win 8 or 9 games.

First year under coach Allen; big improvement under defense...another
year by Lagow and our other QB's under offense? 2017 is our year!!
P.S. I seem to keep saying that every year...

Wonder what other excuses will be cooked up to keep starting Lagow while he keeps costing us games?

Everyone should be out of excuses, including Wilson. His turnovers alone are far too costly not even taking his complete lack of accuracy into account.

So how about our basketball team this season?   Anything to get away from another funeral sermon on a football loss.  Same old IU football; 50+ years I've followed  a mostly sub-mediocre football team.  Much like the 17-year cicada every so often we emerge from dormancy for a fleeting moment of exhilaration only to quickly return to hibernation.  I don't think a genie's lamp and 3 wishes could give us a consistent winning team.  Bah!

I'll be happy with 6 wins and another bowl game...we can still do that but our offense needs to get going!

We can win 2 out of the next three ( Maryland, Rutgers, PSU) and then beat PU to get to a bowl.

I do think that is possible but it is equally possible we only win one more.

Next week is big, to get to some sort of bowl, and it is good that we get MD at home.
