I think the scrimmage was really sloppy.

That said, there were definitely positives.

Pros

OG looks huge, I wouldn't be surprised if he made an Oladipo leap up the draft boards by the end of the year.

TB looked great I thought. Hit quite a few jumpers. If he makes people respect that, watch out.

JBJ can still get up. Looks the same as old.

JM looks like he's been shooting plenty of jumpers this summer. That dunk he had was nice as well.

That did not seem like a kid that wasn't playing this year.

Also, noticed he was sitting in the background of the practice wearing a flexible brace with his knee bent. I'm no expert, but I took that as a very good sign too.

FYI, the BTN guys were REALLY gushing over Juwan Morgan. I think he's going to have a good year. Seems to be similar to a Watford type of player to me.

A buddy of mine was telling me that we should worry about him going pro after this year. Haven't gotten to watch the practice yet but is there any chance my buddy isn't crazy.

My buddy does tend to embellish but I remember he was saying Oladipo would be a pro very early on so sometimes his eye is on target.

Not yet for Juwan. Won't be enough space/time/platform to shine for him. He isnt flashy or overly athletic. He is fundamental and does a lot of things right. His opportunity to shine will be in another year. He can put himself on the map this season though.

Fair enough. I suppose if we were somehow to lose him that would mean we had a very good year.

I agree we will have Juwan for at least this year and next, but he sure looked athletic to me today. Explosive, strong, and with a guard quality handle at 6'7".

Agree. I meant not overly athletic in the sense of spring and speed. Athletic enough to do everything we need him to do though.
