RaceToTheTop Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 Texas in field goal range at the 2 minute warning, Arizona State with just two time outs. If Texas doesn't get a first down and kicks the field goal, could be looking at Arizona State down three with one minute left and no time outs. Quote
go iu bb Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 Looks like Texas will pull it out. ASU kicking out of bounds really hurt them. Quote
TheWatShot Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 Sorry to interrupt this dramatic finish, but... OliviaPope40 and go iu bb 2 Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 What horrible clock usage by Texas....followed by a missed field goal. Arizona State ball on the Texas 31, 1:44 left, one ASU time out. Quote

I didn't expect Texas to kill themselves by throwing instead of running. Then their kicker choked. We have seen that ASU's kicker sucks. Quote
Brass Cannon Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 0 SEC teams will definitely cause a rule change. Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 Arizona State going to have to punt. Review for targeting first, though. Personally I think it was targeting but we'll see. Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 What I see: -- defenseless receiver -- hit with crown of helmet -- defender didn't launch himself though. Don't know how they will rule. Also don't know if the fact the ball was tipped plays a part. Quote
RoadRage Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 No way that is not targeting, I hate the rule but you have to enforce it, even against the SEC! Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 Bad punt, could have pinned them down. Ball on the Arizona State 21, two time outs for Texas, 57 seconds. Quote

I think it was the fact that he didn't launch himself that made it a no call. He obviously wasn't trying to hit him in the head, it just kind of happened. Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 No way did Helm have the first down there...refs give it to Texas and stops the clock. Quote
Dhop Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 My blind brother just called. Wanted to know if I saw something he didn’t on that no-call Quote
