Deboer…..and many others in similar circumstances……Example:  to stay or not to stay at Washington…..to go or not to go to Bama….in the grand scheme of things it just doesn’t matter when you are still going have several millions $$$ regardless (given you don’t blow it all on trying to win the power ball lottery).  Just have a therapist program in place for inconvenience and a little bit of hurt pride and move on.  You see it all the time.

Similar to Coach Tom Allen, I believe Coach Deboer to be excellent at his particular coaching niche (Offensive Coordinator) and perhaps less adept at the Head Coach position.  This is why I believe he and Allen together were successful at IU; Allen had the D covered and Deboer was fantastic at play calling; together they were very successful (by IU standards).  Penix was the difference for Deboer at Wash.

DeBoer’s record as a head coach is 113-17.  That’s pretty adept.  He’s killed it at every level.  I think Alabama is going to need a short adjustment period because I’d imagine DeBoer’s culture and way of doing things is a little different than they’ve been used to for the past couple decades.  If Alabama decides they don’t want to be patient, he’ll have a long, long, long list of suitors.

He'll be back in the playoff within 5 years of Bama pulling the plug and they'll still be sitting there with their thumbs firmly planted asking themselves what happened.

Poop man, he still might be in the CFP this year. It's just one game and the sky is falling in Tuscaloosa.

He has some horrendous vibes to battle through, but you're right. I'll never count him out.

True, they have the talent and despite the wailing, probably the coaching (although they may not mesh in this instance.) BUT sure didn't look like they have the 'want to.' I watched most of that game and some highlights afterward. Bama was soft and sluggish. Only one game, but they sure didn't look like they cared. If drive and motivation is their issue, that is harder to overcome than a many other problems.

I am an IUFB fan, so I am an expert at identifying bad football!

Haliburton on the Fox pre-game show and NOT in a boot. Leinart needs to stay the hell away from him. He steps on that foot and I will knock  him out. Ok, maybe not, but I’ll rebuke him very sternly.

Christ's sakes, I think Minnesota thinks they can make the CFP if they beat the worst FCS team by 100+

The Gophers brought the super sized can of "Whoop @$$" with them today.
