Potential for more money. Even going with Under Armour gives us the chance to make more. Both make much better products. Which isn't hard. With Adidas you might as well be putting some Wal-Mart bags on your feet and draw 3 stripes with a sharpie.

The quality amongst all major athletic shoe brands are essentially the same. There might be marginal differences (models of shoes, specific sports, etc) but they are exactly that, marginal. Let's face it, Nikes aren't exactly Eccos. They are all made overseas with similar quality standards. If you are serious about your statement than you are allowing your affinity for Nike to cloud your judgment.

How do they give us the potential to make more money?

I'm a big Nike guy and would prefer if that's who we had but I also would go with the money. I do have one pair of Adidas shoes though and they're nice.

Yeah I agree I like adidas shoes but that's about it. But in the end, you take the money.

I guess he is saying that people will buy more Nike IU apparel than Adidas IU apparel? I don't agree. All my golf and running shoes are adidas and I love my IU adidas stuff!

They do have nice running shoes. They're a big time soccer brand. The #1 soccer brand I'm pretty sure. I'm not sure about golf. But their basketball shoes are trash. I'm not too worried about the TV thing. Cause if we win we are going to be on ESPN a lot anyways.

ESPN are holding onto their half of the B1G TV package. CBS is also pitching in $10 mn./year for basketball, I'm assuming a game per week and the semis/finals of the B1G tournament. From other articles I've read, it seems that having half the games on Fox will keep B1G games off the likes of ESPN-U and ESPN News.
