mamasa Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana Volleyball team (15-6, 5-3) will take a three-game winning streak into rival territory on Wednesday evening to face in-state foe and 19th-ranked Purdue in the second of two matches in a seven-day span between the two sides. IU broke a 21-game losing streak to Purdue last week in Bloomington with an emphatic 3-1 victory at a sold-out Wilkinson Hall. Both teams are fresh off of weekend wins, with IU beating Michigan and Purdue downing Ohio State. Purdue is expecting a sold-out and raucous Holloway Gymnasium for Wednesday night's clash (7:00 PM, BTN+) and will look for the series split while IU goes for the first season sweep of its in-state opponent since 2002. Sole possession of fourth place in the conference is on the line in West Lafayette. mamasa Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Fresh off a four-match road trip, the Indiana volleyball team (17-10, 7-7) will return home to Wilkinson Hall for the first time since Oct. 21 this weekend. The Hoosiers will begin a four-game homestand on Friday evening against Rutgers before its only matchup of the season against Minnesota on Sunday. IU is looking to spark a late-season tournament push with just three weeks left in the regular season. Already with its most wins since 2016 (17) and a pair of quality wins (at Miami (FL.), vs. No. 15 Purdue), IU will have four of its final six matches in Bloomington before a trip to the Michigan schools over Thanksgiving. Led by outstanding junior setter Camryn Haworth, who is making a case to be the program's first All-American in 13 seasons, the Hoosiers have their eyes set on a strong November run. IU hasn't won 20 games overall and 10 games in the Big Ten in the same season since 2002. IU's last 20-win regular season came in 2010. The Hoosiers will have the chance to finish off the season sweep of Rutgers, Maryland and Michigan in the coming weeks. Minnesota and Michigan State will be first-time opponents on the season while IU will play No. 2 Wisconsin on senior day on Nov. 19. mamasa Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team (18-11, 8-8) welcomes Maryland (16-12, 6-10) and No. 3 Wisconsin (23-2, 14-2) to Bloomington on Friday and Sunday for the final home weekend of the season. The Hoosiers will honor five players for Senior Day on Sunday afternoon. Coming off a weekend split with Rutgers and Minnesota, IU will chase its best Big Ten finish in over a decade over the final two weeks of the regular season with four matches remaining on the docket. After this weekend, IU will head to the Michigan schools over Thanksgiving break to close the season. Junior setter Camryn Haworth continues to be a driving force in a successful Hoosier season, making her case to be IU's first All-American in 13 years. She leads the Big Ten in aces and assists and is one of three setters averaging 10+ assists per set this year in the conference. Both team and individual history is on the line over the final weeks of the season as head coach Steve Aird's group continues the rise and development of its volleyball program in Bloomington. First serve from Wilkinson Hall will be at 6:00 PM on Friday (Maryland) and 1:00 PM on Sunday (No. 3 Wisconsin). Match Info Friday, November 17th, 2023 | vs. Maryland | 6:00 PM ET TV: BTN+ Watch Live Stats Sunday, November 19th, 2023 | vs. #3 Wisconsin | 1:00 PM ET TV: BTN+ Watch Live Stats Hoosier News and Notes Team Notes • The Hoosiers sit 18-11 (8-8) ahead of the final four matches of the regular season. The 18 wins are already the most in a single season since 2010. • Only five times in program history has IU won 20-or-more games in a regular season. IU needs just two more to achieve that feat for a sixth time. IU's regular season wins record, during the Big Ten era, is 21 set twice in 1995 and 2010. • IU hasn't won 20 games overall and 10 games in the Big Ten in the same season since 2002. IU needs just two wins to accomplish that feat for the fifth time in program history. Quote

Aaron Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 No tournament as expected with an RPI in the 70's in a much weaker Big Ten than usual. However, more interesting is Coach Aird was on with the Hysterics today and he actually addressed the infamous article with the allegations that now in retrospect look silly and paints the IDS in a bad light: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/iufb-coaching-search-coach-steve-aird/id1609450696?i=1000636765470 https://specials.idsnews.com/indiana-volleyball-steve-aird-culture-fear/index.html Quote
