What would be on your IU Basketball Bucket List?

I'd love to hear Fisch one more time calling a national championship game. Also, it'd be great to have Bob Knight back in assembly hall. Regardless of any animosity that exists,I think it'd be a moment to treasure. I'd like for us to have a coach that the fanbase is United behind. I agree with many of the other sentiments shared here.

I can say that through thick and thin, good times in our relationship and those when it was strained, my father and I have always shared a love of IU hoops. I can be thousands of miles away and can always count on him responding to a text or call during a game. I know he'll be watching, pacing in front of his tv during a tight game and that's kept us connected on some level.

I agree. My bucket list is just to keep playing games. I love IU about as much as anything in my life behind God, Country, & Family.. And well, being away from home or having siblings gone a lot... A game is the best time to connect and have conversation about something. There's a connection of general care for Indiana university. I'm damn proud to love IU no matter what. All I talk about to my battle buddies here is IU. I love games. I ALWAYS know a call from my dad and brother is coming before & after the game. With texts of depth during the game.


IU is special to me. My bucket list is for them to keep on playing. VIVA LA IU!!

I would agree on the Wat Shot and obviously the celebration that ensued and left me trapped in the media area unable to get back to the locker room for more than 30 minutes. It was bedlam. The moment that I remember, though, that rivaled the Wat Shot in terms of Assembly Hall intensity was when Marco Killingsworth had that thundering slam dunk against Duke in the ACC/Big Ten and it just about blew the roof off. It was crazy. I've often said that if Killingsworth would have been able to go pro after that game that he would be a lottery pick.

1. Shoot the next IUBB championship from the floor.  (I'm a photographer for Indiana Sports Report.)

2. Meet Coach Knight and get his auto on my 1976 Champions basketball.

3. Finish my 1976 Champions basketball.  (still need Jim Crews, Jim Wisman, Bob Bender, Scott Eells, Rich Valavicius, Coach Knight, and assistant coaches Harold Andreas, Bob Donewald, and Bob Weltlich)  If anyone can help me with this, that would be great. ;)

4. Secure a lifetime photographer spot for IUBB.

5. Get my sports apparel line going. (I have designed some awesome IU stuff.)

The 'wish I could've seen it' list:

- An RMK locker room at halftime when we were playing like crap.

- An RMK locker room after a game when he was truly, completely satisfied.

- A round of golf with RMK

- A practice during which some poor guy got 'Tijan-ed', and then tried to get mad at him with a straight face.

- A bar room night out with IU players while they were honestly assessing the basketball skills of Tim Priller

- Little 500 weekend with Coverdale. Or Dakich. Or Sheehey.

- Cody Zeller angry.

- Various folks from Southern Indiana trying to introduce Haris Muzienovich, by his full name, to acquaintances.

- A healthy, never injured, senior year Maurice Creek.

 

My 'already accomplished' bucket list:

- Great student seat for RMK's chair throw.

- A pandemonium win over a top five Iowa/Tom Davis era 1980's team during which the Hoosiers scored over 100.

- Finding an open door at Assembly Hall  a summer about four years ago, and walking to center court with my wife and kids.

- At the Final Four in New Orleans. G_d bless it, Freddie Banks was on fire!

- At an Orlando Magic game VO's rookie year. He took my then six year old out of the stands during warmups, signed his IU hat, and took a picture with him.

- Verdell Jones post-game during cupcake season on the court recording a cellphone video-ed Merry Xmas message by name to my three kids.

- My now nine year old, when he was 4 1/2, watching every minute of a terrible IU team getting destroyed by OSU on the DVR when I was at work, and then telling my wife "I just can't take it anymore!"

- That same nine year old, armed with his Jordy Hulls imitated right shoulder jumper, averaging about 10 ppg for his U11 rec league team this year. While always wearing IU shorts. In South Florida.

- Family dogpiles on the living room floor after the WatShot and Sheehey VCU winner.

- Watching the secretly taped cellphone video of UK boosters paying relatives of UK recruits

- My nine year old dreams of being Taylor Wayer...and walking on at IU. (He knows he'll never be tall enough for a scholly spot).

We may get upset with the team but we are truly spoiled as fans.  My nephew has gone to IU camps over the summer and it has always made his summer to be around IU players.  Most of the players get it and take time out to make fans, especially little ones, feel special.

So, my wife is a huge Jordan Hulls fan, her bucket list would be to meet Jordan Hulls.  Not to my surprise, she had a dream the other day she got to meet him.  I stand no chance lol.

If they have it again this year, you should go to the Knox Indy Pro Am.  It features an IU / Purdue Alumni game.  I have met several former players including Jordan Hulls there and it is a very fan friendly environment.  Jordan signed my shirt complete with a bible verse which I love because I'm atheist. lol

 

So, my wife is a huge Jordan Hulls fan, her bucket list would be to meet Jordan Hulls.  Not to my surprise, she had a dream the other day she got to meet him.  I stand no chance lol.

We were running a bit late just got sat down about a minute later he heaved it. We were just a few rows up from the bench. My 2nd game was when Bobby pulled the team off the floor in the exhibition game against the Russians. Beginning to think I was bad luck.
