That's an odd decision. He has a lot of potential but I haven't seen him on any draft boards. Best of luck to him!

I'm curious as well. Wonder if he just wanted to try and get paid instead of staying in college.

I wonder due to his suspension earlier in the year if he and college aren't a good fit for each other. I don't mean that in a disparaging way either.

I can't help but think the same. He hasn't been on any draft boards I've seen and it's already a fairly deep draft at DT.

Since the most important thing in career length and ability to earn over time in the NFL is when you're picked, it seems like a weird decision without really promising news for him.

Agree 100%.

It's tough, because I think another year of hard work and effort could result in a better draft position. But I'm sure there are many things at play here with his decision. And if it's time, then it's time.

Is this a situation where if Darius doesn't hire an agent, he would be able to return to school?

Not positive on this but pretty sure that when they declare they are gone. Unlike college bball where they take an eval period to test the waters. With 7 rounds most are apt to stay anyway. I hope he gets drafted. Just don't see his name on anybody's board at all.
