Everyone not named Shwarber went cold really fast. Fowler, Rizzo, and Bryant went especially cold this series. 

They just weren't aggressive enough. As a team they took way too many pitches

Sadly I think its less that they went cold and more that they are actually running into pitchers that can put the ball where it needs to be.

No, they faced Cole in Wild Card and he was on of the top pitchers in the league this year.

Looked to me that he was struggling to the ball where he wanted it. And even then they only had 7 hits all game.

Cubs made him pay for his mistakes, but that still doesn't discredit that he was one of the top pitchers this year. The cubs can hit quality pitching, they just haven't strung together enough hits or haven't taken advantage of opportunities this series
