Emmitt Holt Releases a Statement about Dismissal

Recommended Posts

I just have to say WOW! HMP is the new word for poison. I'm so happy he is off our team. Let's hope he stays off campus so he doesn't influence our team anymore. Starting to feel Yogi isn't a great influence as well. I can't wait for a full cleansing of IU Basketball from top to bottom.

I have no issues with his statement, as I think it may represent what is wrong with IU basketball right now. The lack of leadership is glaring and no I don't mean Tom Crean, looking at you Yogi. What I think was missing from the statement was this, and this is just my simple opinion: I am sorry that not only did I let myself down but my team mates by my actions. I put not only my self but others in a situation that should of never happened and showed a lack of maturity. I can only hope that they learn from my mistake and grow to be better person.....

I also have 50 bucks to get the ticket for HMP to get out of town....

SWEETLEMONbrown, the quality of writing in Holt's statement is rather poor. It seems disjointed and is missing a few lines. Holt could have benefitted from some good advice in crafting his words. Maybe he was offered guidance in writing the statement but he chose to ignore it. To me, the statement oddly reflects his time spent in Bloomington. It's sad.

I'm not sure if he typed this up himself and sent it in, or if he was interviewed and they recorded what he said, or what. But the writing quality is almost comical. Am I the only one who thinks this?

Maybe he was drunk when he wrote it?
