NBA finals Golden State vs. Cavs

Recommended Posts

I mean it is true. What is he suppose to say, he gave a reason he is confident he can pull a team, that really kind of is bad without him at this point, to a NBA championship. Dude is putting on an amazing performance on the biggest basketball stage in the world.

He should be the Finals MVP even if they do lose. He's been amazing. Would be the first player on the losing team to get it since Jerry West. He's leading one of the worst rosters to ever make it to the Finals. It's impressive.

What did he say this time?

"I feel confident because I'm the best player in the world. It's that simple."

Was asked why he felt good about Cleveland's chances. I mean what was he suppose to say

While I respect the confidence, the "It's that simple" part seems like a little much to me.

How about something like, "I've been in this situation before. I believe in my teammates and they believe in me. Everyone has counted us out, but we've proven we can win games in this series. It's going to be a challenge of course, but I believe in our guys and our staff. I know we're a good home team, so we need to go back to Cleveland and take care of business, then anything can happen in a Game 7."

I can see that, Still don't really mind the comment.

Still think people hate him more because of all the over done coverage of the guy, then anything he has ever done

It's fine, but it's more of a cookie cutter, PR answer.  What Lebron acutally said isn't humble, but it is honest, concise, and much closer to the truth.

If Kyrie and Love weren't hurt this series would be over and wouldn't be to a game six.

I think it would be right where it is. You just wouldn't have gotten to see much Delly, Steph probably would have been better in the first three games, and the cavs wouldn't be getting 6 offensive rebounds a game from Thompson.

I agree, Stephs numbers have been much worse in games 2- compared to game 1 due to being guarded mainly by Delly.

Eh, Love got exposed as the overrated player he is. Also with him and Irving, that was legitimately one of the worst defensive units to go this deep

No way. It would still be where it was. Love wasn't playing that great this year. With Kyrie, Lebron wouldn't be scoring as much. There would've been a game 7 if the Cavs wouldve had Love and Kyrie but I still think the Warriors are the best team in the playoffs and would've won.

Especially if they don't close the gap in the 4th. That would be a 4-2 series loss with 3 of the 4 losses by double digits. Can't give him the MVP on that. The real issue is the NBA Machine/Media wants it to be Curry, but Iggy has been the difference in the series. Curry has been good, but not great. Iggy was the game changer.

agree with this. LeBron IS the BEST player in this series, but not MVP. In a game 7 barnburner, give it to James. Not losing in 6 at home.
