Jamal's already got his exit visa from UK stamped for ten months from now. Quoteth Jamal:

Dedicated new UK student Jamal Murray is now trying to get a waiver from the NCAA so that he can play with the Canadian FIBA team. Young Mr. Murray has still not set foot on the UK campus other than for his official recrutiing visit. This waiver would allow him to miss at least the first few weeks of classes during his one and only year at UK.

 

"The FIBA American Championships are coming up at the end of the month. As much as Murray would love to play, classes start on the 24th and Murray can not be in two places at once. Canadian officials have spoke with John Calipari and the NCAA trying to keep his services a little longer."
