YOGI--You Stayed! Now Lead Us To Glory!

If he makes a huge show out of announcing he is returning to school than he is every bit the spoiled brat he comes off as

a lot of people on campus already know this to be true.

Oh. I thought coach bashing had free reign in all threads. No?

Indiana has played good D under Crean. Crean has coached a final 4 team.

Funny that Crean coaches one and it's all luck and Shaka Smart coaches one and he's an amazing coach...

According to KenPom going back to 2002 and not counting Crean's first 3 years here his average ranking in defensive efficiency is around 95th. That one year is the only one he's had in the top 25 and he's had precious few even in the top 50.

Defense doesn't tend to be a strong suit of his teams.

We're getting off-topic but one reason our defensive averages are so low is because of the constant roster turnover and yearly rosters full of young/new players who have to learn D1--big time defense.  In general, experienced teams will play better defense.  Yogi has been at times and can be a good defender and we should be hoping he comes back.

yup...I am really hoping Yogi comes back to be that 4 year leader that teams need...

not going to bring up Knight, because I know it's cringe worthy...

however...

it is worth noting, that IU's most successful teams have had senior leadership with a solid mix of talented youth...

and I will quote myself on this topic...

an ounce of experience is worth a pound of potential...
