This is my gut, okay?  I don't know a darned thing, and I don't claim to.   But...I am aware of some things.  Just knowledgeable enough to be dangerous, but I have no facts and no intel.   I have a gut feeling based on some things I do know, and some people who have told me some things which led me to this conclusion :  I think we'll get our man if we're patient.   And I think that will happen sometime before we're all throwing things at the TV.   I'm not saying it happens now and I'm not saying it happens a year from now.  I'm saying I think we get our guy if we're patient.  And I am NOT a patient guy when it comes to stuff like this.  I'm actually impressed with myself that my kids aren't scared to death of me because I've done a good job relative to patience with them; but on the ancillary stuff like sports teams?   I'm generally not very good at it, and my gut is telling me that's the route this is taking.   Timing is everything.  In all facets of life.   So...I'm preaching patience and that everything happens for a reason.   He disappears in a cloud of smoke.

Before we start throwing things?  If I had one of those bad call bricks I'd already be throwing things, not having that foam brick is the only thing that has stopped me lol.

I agree and have been trying the SE approach recently. The problem I have with this is IF Crean has a modicum of success next year he remains Glass's guy. Even if that success is below ours. Patience can project as being pleased with the current state of things further encouraging Glass to stay the course.

Read into this whatever you want to.  I think the ship has sailed on whether or not Crean can get it done long term and I don't think a single season changes that.  He's had a season here and there when he's had success.  That's not good enough at Indiana.   Fred Glass may be a lot of things, but he knows that and he is smart enough to know this doesn't need a Band Aid.  I completely get the thought process....but I think patience is the play here.  Fred Glass already knows what IU fans think.   He hears it every day and probably sees it in 1200 emails a week.   An angry mob won't solve this.  Nor will one season of success.   The offense hasn't moved in 7 years.   Indiana's been awful in the half court for 7 years.   Crean's not done and is not doing a good job recruiting in Indiana and that's not changing as we sit here.   Fred Glass knows that.    Trust it, Grasshopper.

Old Friend, you're like the Quaker family calming down gunslinger John Wayne in Angel and the Badman whereas the rest of us are carrying pitchforks and torches and attacking the Assembly Hall Creanenstein monster.  :)

I wish you knew how difficult it is for me to "preach" this message.  Believe me....and I mean this sincerely, there was and is nobody more upset with the state of things than I am.    I don't know much, but I do know Fred Glass isn't about to let Indiana University be the one left without a chair when the music stops.   The candidates we all thought might be possibilities have gone their own ways for the most part, and there's one guy left who is still where he was when the situation reached critical mass.  I am on record as saying I don't "know" anything, and I don't.  I have a gut feeling and just enough intel to call it somewhat educated....and that's a reach.   But....I've generally been right about the things I've felt similarly about over the last several years, and I have had a calming about this whole thing I have no idea how to explain because I'm PISSED!!   But....I feel very strongly that this will play out well...if people don't turn the situation into a complete mess with vitriol, etc.

Seriously what is Bama going to do? They kind of screwed themselves. At this point their next coach will have to be worse than Grant, who wasn't terrible but didn't do much of note except win the SEC once when UK was down I believe.

Steve Prohm from Murray St

Good point. I remember them talking about Prohm when I looked at their board. He was pretty low on everyone's list, but I think that's where they are now.

Didn't know he was in the mix, hasn't he only been at minny for like 2 seasons?

@jerrymeyer247: Richard Pitino wasn't ever on short list for Alabama job per @BamaOnline247. Name I'm hearing is Steve Prohm.

Looks like you were right. I had seen his name thrown out there a few times. Maybe Lil' Ricky threw it out there to get some publicity.

Prohm may be the better candidate.
