I hate the fact that we have to pin our hopes for next season on landing TB because it doesn't seem like CTC has any other big man who has any interest in IU.  Is there a Plan B?  If not, then it's hard to see 2015-2016 being markedly different from 2014-2015.  And if we should be fortunate and land TB, can we vaccinate him against homesickness?

Coming off 2 subpar seasons and hoping to land a player so we have a shot at a decent season......let that sink in and tell me if adding a big is the answer to the big picture.

This isn't Rocket Science. Last year IU didn't have Blackman, Zeisloft or Johnson.  Likewise, had TC been able to hold on to Vonleh, this season, we wouldn't be pleading to the selection committee.  I dislike stating the obvious, but...  IU hasn't possessed an inside / outside threat since 2013.  As long as the hoop is 10' off the ground, "size matters."

As with this entire season, we watched an undersized, but talented group, comprised "mostly" of freshman and sophomores, hang tough with the conference's best. In my aged (class of '71) opinion, if we can keep this group intact (this may be difficult - if not impossible) and add viable size and talent to the front line - then 2015 / 2016 could be Special.

Uh we lack the coaching part the most! Then sit back and enjoy...sorry I just had to

We as fans have become UCLA. We pine for the glory years. If only we had ( fill in the blank ) for a coach, we would be on top again. We have succumbed to the instant gratification syndrome. I look at how the STL Cardinals have built a long-lasting winning program by looking long term. Compare that with other teams that try to build a winner without looking at what long term damage will be done to the organization. I remember that many Cards fans were ready to cut Tony Larussa loose because he just did not know how to coach. He then proceeded to luck into 2 world championships.

After a decade or so of subpar seasons everyone is looking for something to put hope in. IF there was anything actually being built towards being a long term winner I could agree with your point, but after a few season with Mike Davis, he wasn't building anything and now after 7 years of Crean we are back in a valley after a year or two peak that he had. Nothing is being fixed long term. Coach Crean is just putting duck tape on the situation right now and we need the thing to be rebuilt

I would like to think that we could just add one player and fix things, but the lack of effort on defense and offense will not be fixed with one player. There has been no consistency from our squad all year. Yogi Ferrell has been the only consistent player on this team for two years. Everyone else suffers from Jekyll & Hyde syndrome where they have one great game followed by 3 or 4 games where they completely disappear

I dunno if Crean and Larussa are a fair comparison. Tony had a history of success. I cant see Crean building anything long term right now.
