I understand that it wouldn't be wise for the coaching staff to reveal how bad this injury is. If anyone was at the game tonight, could you let us know what your feeling is? By seeing him walk back out of tunnel. Was he walking pretty gingerly? Or otherwise? Hope he is ok!!! Get well Hanner! Thanks in advance

I let out an audible groan when they showed the replay, so much so that the wife in the other room asked what was wrong.  Doesn't look good

The replay looked bad... and his pain sounded bad.... but he did get up and he did walk on his own back out of the locker room and appeared to be putting weight on it....

I am sure he is sore and will miss the rest of the BTT but I think the brace may have been his savior.... I think he will be back for whatever postseason is after the BTT.... without the brace it could have been MUCH worse

Given how his knee bent inward from the side, I'd say a torn ACL, but I'm no doctor, though I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

That was my first thought. Well that and of course the first game we try and play defense someone gets hurt.

It's because no-one's body was used to this strange thing called "defense".

Actually, the way it unfolded, it was just plain, sh*tty luck.

If this was his last game of the season I feel sorry for him. He's been showing solid improvement. If he continues his development, next year we could be looking at the Hanner we all thought he would be earlier this year: More court awareness and playing to his strengths.

You could hear Hanner screaming in pain, but the fact that he got up and walked back to the bench was at least a good show for the committee. Even if he doesn't play today or, hopefully, the rest of the weekend, I would say, "He'll be examined and rechecked to see if he's able to play next week," even if it's a "for-sure" that he won't. I'd also have him dressed and on the bench, even if just for show.

On the plus side, we did beat Maryland without him quite handily the first time. We will have issues with teams with bigs without him, but we have those issues anyway, they'll just be magnified. Maryland, however, isn't so huge that Holt, Hartman and Troy can't compete defensively size-wise.

Walking on his own doesn't mean he didn't suffer an ACL or MCL injury. Players have played ligament with injuries that aren't severe. People can walk with pain on complete tears.

I also think it is more than just his old injury, but I am hopeful it is no more serious than that. For purposes of the NCAA committee, I would list him as day to day. I would even dress him today, just in case.

This play-acting "flopping' is very dangerous, esp. when one is a 275 lb 7 footer, and should be penalized.

Hoping for the best, but looks like surgery and rehab to me - this from one that injured both knees and needed surgery.
