The next 6 games.

Recommended Posts

Call me crazy, but im hoping for a split of the next 6 games. The four home games are against teams that play decent defense and have a solid frontcourt. Minnesota and Purdue have been playing a lot better the last 2 weeks and are also fighting for a tournament bid. Same with Iowa and we know Izzo wont throw in the towel. Rutgers and Northwestern leave a lot to be desired but we will be their end of the season "spoiler game" and Northwestern always seems to give us trouble. 3-3 would put us squarely on the bubble. But 1 win in the BTT would probably get it done.

I actually kind of agree here in a way. 3-3 definitely isn't outside the realm of possibility. Every single game from here on out is a must win, and I hope no one is sitting there thinking @NW and @Rutgers will be cake walks. I think the post was less about expecting to go 3-3 and more about that being possible. And it is. At the same time, we could finish this run 5-1 or even 6-0. Regardless, this is a crucial stretch and I hope we can get on a little run because I don't want our season to be hanging on the B1G tourney.

It is never going to be easy but what this team has shown is the ability to win at home.  I think 3-3 is a possibility just do not go 2-4 or 1-5.

5 more wins gets us a 6 or 7 seed with an outside shot at a 5 I think.

If we go 3-3 or 2-4 with a win in the BTT then I think Dayton is a possibility.

That's pretty much what I thought, although I also wouldn't be surprised if 4-2 and no BTT win could mean 10-12 seed which smells like Dayton to me.

On the other end of the spectrum, if we were to go 6-0 and win maybe even win 2 BTT games, a 4 or 5 seed makes sense to me. All I know is I'm glad that we have the easier part of our schedule now when we need that last month surge.

Are we talking about it's OK to accept mediocrity?!?!

I KID I KID!!

Seriously, we better not lose at Rutgers. I don't feel like being heckled by a bunch of sprayed-on tanned guidos as I'm walking out of the 2,500 seat arena in New Brunswick. :) :)

I didnt say any of these games will be unwinnable. But all of those teams are playing for something and will bring it to us. Hopefully our boys will be up to that challenge and match the intensity. The margin of error is shrinking. A win at Maryland could have gave us more breathing room.

isnt our team playing for something also? All fan bases hope their boys will be up for the challenge. Margin of error is always shrinking during this time of year for all teams fighting for bid. Unless you r a fan of the top 10 ranked schools this year it's a coin flip on who will win most of the games. I will take 3-3(worst case)in these last 6 games and feel comfortable with our resume against other teams that would be on the bubble with us
