Work ethic or not with those guys they gave up years of college career to go in the 2nd round which is where Yogi is projected.

I think some would take the money and move along but I just do not see it with Yogi.  I could very well be wrong.

I would love him to stay. I think we can all agree on that. But the only place his draft stock can go is down with another year. He's climbing up draft boards right now and he may end up being a late first rounder. A deep run in the tourney would all but solidify that.

Totally agree that if we somehow make a run to elite 8 and Yogi is a dominant player throughout that run he can solidify his draft stock as a first rounder and in that case yes he probably should go.  But if it looks at all like he is going to be in second round or undrafted (which is where it stands now) then he should stay.  The extra year will not be a deal breaker for NBA teams if they like his skillset.

I disagree completely that the only place his stock can go is down.  All you need to look at it is Shabazz Napier for evidence.

I see what you're trying to say, and I agree that he can benefit from staying, but shabazz and yogi are almost incomparable.

In what way?  Both are undersized point guards that started playing on a very good team as freshman, grew their games once the stars left around them and became elite as upperclassmen.  Both do not fit the NBA mold of a prototypical point guard.

Not saying it is perfect but if you're looking for a comparable player to make the case he should stay it is Shabazz.

I see Shabazz as a finesse player, not overly quick, like yogi. I think his shot is better, but yogi's handles exceed anybody you put him against. Yogis prefers to drive more than shabazz. IDK THEY ARE JUST VERY DIFFERENT. I AGREE WITH YOUR POINT. IDK OK. I DONT KNOW WHAT MY POINT WAS.

Unless Yogi can be assured a 1st round pick, which is not very likely IMO, he should return. He would have next to zero workload academically. He could be a Super star for one more season. Have a chance to break records. Play meaningful minutes. He is likely Euro bound no matter when he leaves. Money is not as big of a factor to Yogi as it was to Vonleh plus unless he goes 1st round the money is not great anyway.

Also funny (or maybe not) that the Blackmon 1 n Done talk is gone. I'm worried about Troy leaving as much as I am Yogi though. Both are playing very well. I'm enjoying this season and think this off season could be incredibly interesting. I am begging to get Troy, Yogi, and Blackmon back but will settle for 2 of the 3.

I'd hope that one of the two is Yogi. If we pulled in a big, we could LIVE without Troy, (Collin at the 3, Perea 4; Rojo at 3 Hartman/Perea at 4), but Yogi will be hard to replace when he's gone.

For me, once the real competition set in, we found where Blackmon really is. Potential is huge but he has so many areas he lacks. Probably been told he was the superstar a little too much or Crean has given him too much of a green light or he is just used to being "the man" and his skills haven't caught back up to the heightened comp. I didn't believe it months ago but I now see why some were debating he would he here without a doubt for 2 years and Mayne even a 3rd. Fantastic problem for us fans.

JBJ will be a beast once he gets a year of college level strength training under his belt

^ 1 hundy... what does yogi have left to show the nba? His a:to ratio is outstanding, near 90% free throw shooter, basically unconscious from deep, can take almost anyone to the rack with his burst and strength.. All he can do is start shooting 60% from 3 on the season. Yall saying yogi has no chance at the NBA after this year are not watching the games, don't understand the game or just want him back next year for selfish reasons.. I'm totally okay with the last reason, I get it..

He's going to be the next Raymond Felton or Ty Lawson at the NBA level. The knocks on his size are so tiring.

The difference in the talent between those two is pretty large. Which one is he?

I always felt like he was a 2-3 year guy. Honestly its all going to depend on his body. I think once his body is NBA ready, he'll be ready. He really struggles to finish in traffic and he struggles defensively. I think he's a 2 year guy.
