lots of teams "underachieve" In March it happens every year, that year it happened to a team we r both invested in. I'm sure duke fans thought they underachieved losing to us in 2002 and the list could go on.
the reason it stings with us more is that this was our first real shot at a final 4 in a while and we came up short don't pretend it doesn't happen to other programs. I have confidence in the team to get hot at the right time and have a little luck go there way anything can happen in March ( george mason, vcu)

I want to jump on board but have you seen our defense? Nice article in Crimson and Quarry ( I think) about our D. According to the article ( will try to find) such poorly ranked defense doesnt bode well for much tourney success.

i agree with u our d has to become average at best to advance or they will need a lot of luck. Not sure if it's same article but in 2012 bleacher report had an article saying the last 10 national champions were top 20 in both offensive and defensive efficiency Half way there lol.

Every year players change.  Matchup change.  Tournament upsets happen.  Crean's changed coaching philosophies.
 
The only thing that doesn't ever change is your broken record postings.  Not everybody is as jaded and pessimistic as you.  It can happen

Your commentary on me is about as on target as your predictions for our team come tournament time. I can look at Creans past as an indicator of the probability on how well we will be playing in a few weeks. I don't like it just don't like the fact he has been to one final four in his career and none at Indiana in seven years. Please explain how Crean has changed his coaching philosophies since coming to IU. He was never known as a defensive coach and still isn't. While this years team has vastly improved on turnovers, all of his Indiana teams have been his normally high average on those. He was known as a guard oriented coach coming in to Indiana, and people like you are finally saying he has his guard oriented team. So while you think I'm jaded and a broken record, I would say that you're completely clueless in your above reasonings for expecting a deep tourney run. Upsets happen is just an outstanding commentary on your basketball knowledge. You should go to Vegas with that prediction ability.

Again, I never predicted a tourney run.  You're arguing something that was never said.

There does seem to be more off ball movement this season, which is different than the 4 statues playground crap we've seen the last 6 years.  Turnovers are down, although our 12 a game average is only one less than his lowest turnover teams.

 

Upsets do happen, March can be a bit of a crap shoot.  The same names still manage to make deep runs time after time though despite sometimes getting bumped early.
