IU v. Wisco Game Thread 2/3 7pm on ESPN

Honestly, I'm getting a little frustrated with this team. I think its a good team, but I find myself getting more frustrated than usual to watch recently.

I know the Hoosiers are surpassing expectations so far and that's great. But when a team surpasses expectations, I believe it creates new, higher expectations. Over the last few games, those haven't been met.

Now I don't expect Indiana to win every game or be a dominant team, but I'm less than thrilled with its recent play and performance.

Because the Hoosiers have surpassed expectations thus far, I expect a little more effort and execution, especially defensively.

I still believe this is a tournament team that can maybe be dangerous in March and I'm not necessarily losing faith in the squad itself yet, but I'm just a bit unhappy with recent performance.

Go Hoosiers!

Said the coach from the team down 30 and ended up losing by close to 20. Are you looking for a moral victory? Geez, I've seen supporting a coach here on a nightly basis, but your post honestly is the best. Getting our butts handed yearly by Bo Ryan and you find a positive by howmany points we scored. Does the final score not count or is it just some arbritary number Naismith came up with to determine first runnerup? See everyone wins by your school of thought. Meanwhile, the yearly Wisconsin beatings of Indiana drum beats along just like the millions spent on an average Indiana high school coach.

Not sure how me stating facts is supporting the coach.  I'm glad you know how I feel about the game, coach, or the season by me stating a fact about points scored against Wisconsin this season.

Serious question: if we're gonna put it on Coach, what adjustments would you guys have made? What defense would you have played to make a difference? I truly would like to get some input on that.

I would have pulled out the hot hand quicker, I hate when they make it all the way back down the floor after a made basket.

It's kinda like we have the theory of, "let's let them go ahead and score so we get the ball back and maybe we can score".

I thought Doc was a Crean supporter>

I think she's a fence rider. Her son is the star of HIS team so there is loyalty in place. She has voiced displeasure on numerous occasions. She is in a tough spot since she is social media active. I think everyone minus a few posters here are at least a little frustrated with our status.

I don't think anyone is satisfied. I'm certainly not happy. Small ball is not a realistic style of play. But we don't have a choice this year. Said it in the fall, one player away.
