OSU National Champs

Recommended Posts

Not a great reason to celebrate to me, but I definitely view this as a good thing for the B1G. Our conference has been viewed as barely relevant for some time now, but this win, decent bowl success this year, and the addition of Harbaugh at UM will all help the B1G brand. By default, I believe that every team in the B1G can benefit from this. With ESPN selling the SEC non-stop and Nike promoting Oregon, it was a needed shot in the arm. I am ambivalent about OSU for the most part, but I was rooting hard for them last night. Of course I do for all B1G teams in the bowls. Thankfully, Purdue hasn't put me in a position to have to vomit while doing it for a while.

I don't like O$U but I was rooting for them last night. You are 100% right that this is HUGE for the Big Ten. It pretty much guarantees the Big Ten one of those 4 spots if we have a top team every year. A flame out vs Alabama would have been horrible for the conference.

Great win, the Harbaugh vs Urban battles are going to be EPIC.

Just gonna a put this out there. Oregon was missing guys, but this was another big game against a team who just overpowered them when they wanted to. Always think Oregon is overrated every year and games like this seem to always confirm it

I wouldn't be surprised to see him dip. Make millions and compete for a spot, or go to class and compete for a spot...?

Saw if he were to go he would have by far the best nfl ready arm. Possibly could go 3rd qb overall after marcus and FHRITP in the 2nd or 3rd

That QB situation will be interesting to watch. Man, does Jones have a rocket for an arm! And accurate too.

Not to mention he is a human bulldozer. He knocked that Oregon defensive lineman backwards last night.

I think this is one of the coolest images from that night. The OSUMB is fantastic and it's amazing how much support they get from their school, fans, and team.

(If you couldn't tell, I sometimes root for the bands more than the teams...)

Cardale is still developing , looking off his first receiver going to option B will come next year. Braxton Miller will  be gone as he graduates this spring but can use his 4th year somewhere else. No way all 3 guys are in camp this fall.

Great win for the conference and OSU. An excellent coaching job by Urban and his staff. How many programs can win three straight against very good competition as OSU did with a third string QB? Shows how a very competent staff can overcome adversity.
