Overall, I'd say this was a successful Challenge. The Big Ten won, but most of the teams I really don't like lost. It's always nice seeing Wisconsin and MSU lose in the same day, as well as OSU and Illinois last night. Add our win on top and we have a great week!

I like Izzo/MSU myself, but I agree on the others.

I know a lot of people will hate me for it, but it also doesn't really hurt me to see Purdue win, except when they beat us. There's something about seeing the little brother beat these non-conference teams and represent basketball from the state of Indiana & B1G that kinda makes me happy.

It's hard to be too down on Purdue anymore now that they've had a couple of down years. You feel a little bad for them.

I always feel bad for them.  They do everything they can to feel relevant, and still no one outside of Indiana can tell you where Purdue is.  A successful sports season for them means beating us in anything.  They insist we're the little brother, but their inferiority complex makes them chant "IU sucks" even when they're losing to a completely different team.  And have you seen their co-eds?

I hear ya. I'm the guy that roots for Purdue over Kentucky anyday. Of course, I usually root for the under dog anyways ;)

Now I wouldn't go that far.  Of course, I despise UK as much as anyone could possibly imagine.  If UK was playing a team composed of Adolph Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Kim Jung Il, Joseph Stalin and Fidel Castro with Heinrich Himmler and Osama Bin Laden coming off the bench, I'd root for the dictators.

Disappointing that the Big Ten did not get more praise for winning the challenge---it was hardly mentioned on ESPN when I watched.

The lesson I learned is the Big Ten may not have a true top 10 team right now---Wiscy was not even that impressive.

 

However---the Big Ten has a ton of top 10 to 25 teams right now.

 

The conference fights are going to be brutal---going to make for some exciting games with everyone beating up on each other!

IU has to keep putting in overtime on defense and post development and rebounding so we are left standing in the upper portion of the conference standings at the end of the year.

 

Our guards and shooting should keep us in games and pull off some upsets.

 

Road games will continue to be tough--especially at first.

Devil---you called the Duke win!  Duke was much better then I expected---they actually dominated Wiscy at the Kohl Center---which does not happen much.
