Miller'sTheMan Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 This Kentucky team is #1, and they deserve it, not arguing that but...... they are very beatable. rebelhoosier848891, bnkepner, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and 1 other 4 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Tomorrow's notables Michigan @ Rutgers........I think Rutgers gets it?? 54-50 UM wins LSU @ Florida............Florida finds a way. 79-61 BC @ Syracuse...........easy one for Syracuse. 61-69 KSU @ Iowa St............Iowa St easy. 71-77 Ole Miss @ Georgia........Georgia holds home court. 64-69 Minnesota @ Nebraska........I think Nebraska finds a way. Home court. 49-52 Vanderbilt @ UK............ugh, another UK blowout. 57-65 Iowa @ Wisconsin..........game of the night IMO. Close but have to go with Wisconsin 50-82 Tennessee @ S.Carolina.......S.C finds way at home too. 66-62 I guess I value home court. Lol. Best chance for road win is UM and LSU, then Tenn, Minnesota, Iowa, Ole Miss in that order. Small chances for BC, KSU, and Vandy. 6-3. My top 3 picks, did pull off the road wins. Quote
Miller'sTheMan Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Tennessee looks a lot better than I thought they'd be. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Purdue vs Illinois most interesting. Wouldn't be surprised if Tulsa, St. John's, or New Mexico get the W. Quote

bnkepner Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 6-3. My top 3 picks, did pull off the road wins. It is funny though that the ones you said would be "easy" wins were actually really close games and you said Iowa and Wisconsin would be a close one and it was a blowout. Goes to prove that on any given night its anyones game. Good picks overall WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Final---Wiscy 82---Iowa 50. Ouch----I expected the Wiscy win at home--- but not by that margin. Wiscy 5-1 in conference. Iowa falls to 4-2 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 If we beat Maryland---that will separate us from the pack with Wiscy as the only 2 teams left with 1 loss. That's a great start to the Big----as preseason I predicted we would be .500 first part of the league and then come back strong at the end. Our closing part of the conference schedule is favorable-----the better we do now puts us in contention for a Big Ten title or an upper level finish. Quote

rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Drilling down tonight----Uthoff was about the only player who half-way showed up for Iowa----12 points and 2 boards. The Wisconsin bigs were awesome----Dekker with 17pts---8rebs--2asst--2stl---and 1 blk Hayes---16 pts--5rebs. Kaminsky----13pts--11rebs Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Final----Nebraska edges Minny-----52--49. This one was ugly. Nebraska goes to 3-3 in league and Minny unbelievably is now 1-6 in the conference. I cannot believe the Gophers already have 6 losses in the league----suddenly the Tubby Smith era doesn't look so bad! If Minny's recruiting doesn't pick up---I predict little Pitino bolts for greener pastures soon---- so as not to hurt his brand. Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Drilling down in the Nebraska/Minny game: Hollins is about all Minny has this year-----21 points-- 11 rebounds---2 steals---1 assist--- tonight. Shields--with 15 points---7 rebounds-----3 assists---and 3 steals--- for the Huskers. Neither team with much offensive firepower so far. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 UK wins sloppily----Final----65 to 57 over Vandy. It just seems like they are going to get upset soon---probably by an unranked opponent as they get up for their bigger games but play to the level of lesser competiton. And----they still make me sick! Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Drilling down in the UK game I thought a significant stat was Trey Lyles with 5 points and 3 rebounds in 20 minutes of action. Are you kidding me? He's better than that----Is that really what a McDonald's All-American wants to do? Go to UK and play a few minutes a night and score a few points and then go pro? What a legacy he's going to leave UK if they get upset in the tourney---virtually nothing but $$$$$ to show for his college career. Sad! WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 #9 Iowa State 77-----Kansas State 71 ISU has been playing well---but I am just not buying the Big12 again this year. WayneFleekHoosier and bnkepner 2 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Final---LSU 79---Florida 61. I was surprised by this one. Florida has not gotten it together and even in a weak SEC conference---I am not sure they will make the NCAA tourney. On the other hand----LSU always has a ton of talent but underachieves----this could be a year they do some damage and possibly sneak up on UK and upset them. Oh---let's hope so! :good: Quote
Hutch89 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 What do you all think? Did Woodbury poke some eyes intentionally, or was it an accident? http://streamable.com/6e6 The poke against Nigel Hayes looks like an accident, but against Kaminsky... i'm not so sure. Woodbury ruffled his hair even and looked to be probing some at his face before the eye poke Quote
