So many good basketball players out there regardless of rank.  Just got to have a staff to identify and develop.

Keve Aluma for Virginia Tech is a stud

Don’t even think he was ranked at 247

Just seems like IU looker is broke . Can't find gold in a pawn shop. Hopefully the future is better. Really could be an interesting off season . You would think woodson is going to hustle up something . If there are any openings

St. Louis had gotten themselves in the conversation for an at large bid.  Then they lose at home to St. Bonaventure last Friday and then Monday at St. Bonaventure.  Not sure that will be enough for St. Bonaventure, though.

Big upset in the American East Hartford just hit a tip back with 5 sec to go in OT to knock off Vermont.  Vermont was undefeated in conference

Vermont have any Indiana kids playing . Had quite the pipeline in the past .

Another interesting excerpt from the Coach K book:

I thought Coach K and RMK were on decent terms again -- after the 1992 Final Four blow-by. But apparently, there have been several incidents since -- the latest being a gathering of former Army players at Pinehurst. Coach K showed up and RMK totally blew him off. "He was finally done with Coach Knight," said K's son-in-law.

In the mid-2010's Coach Knight was in the beginning and rapidly advancing stages of Alzheimer's, and made series of truly cringe-worthy, surly, inappropriate, and at times illogical public appearances. Moreover, at that time his outward appearance and voice was one of relatively good health.

He had all of the piss and vinegar of the earlier version of himself, but none of the (relative) filter and sharpness. Maybe it was partly him acting out on his frustration with his situation. In any event it was a terrible combination.

It's hard to believe that as his health issues advanced he would become so much milder and easier to see and hear. But that seems to be the case.

Does anyone have an explanation as to why Iowa State is considered a tourney team? And people want to tell me that losses don't mean anything anymore LOL.

7 Q1 wins with probably 5 of those coming against projected field teams and some more against bubble teams.

SOS-15

compare that to other teams near the cut line and they blow them away.   Their predictive and results base metrics are good enough     Conference record isn’t important    They are lucky they did some really good things in the non conference to equal out the crap that is their conference play      They keep losing you won’t have to worry about them getting in but if they are near the cut line they are going to make it

Yea that's not a good enough reason when you're dead last in your own conference. You're just back up what I've said a 1000x before. Losses don't matter. The heavy reliance on Quad wins is an absolute joke.

"Conference record doesn't matter" then why the hell doesnt the NCAA just get rid of conferences? It's the majority of the teams schedule. They went 13-0 in non conference. Who cares when they are 3-9 in 12 conference games. That's an absolute joke. It's actually an embarrassment to have them included anywhere near a tourney birth right now.

Yeah conference record doesn’t matter.   Not even on the team sheets.     Get ahold of the ncaa committee and voice your concerns with the selection process.   I’m guessing they got a number for you to call or just drive to Indy I think their headquarters is still there.

Losses still matter.  If they had a bunch  losses to terrible teams then that would probably have them out of the picture

You say losses still matter yet they have 7 Quad 1 losses and 0-2 against Quad 2. So they 7-9 against the top 2 tiers. And STILL 3-9 in conference. But objectivity and common sense never wins out when comes to the NCAA.
