HoosierAloha Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 I think they feel IU is a sleeping giant. I smell revenge.I think you’re smelling something I just stepped in... (no offense) This team doesn’t really have the makeup of being revengeful. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Didn’t they lose at home to PSU today? I didn’t watch the end of it but they were getting beat. That would drop them a bit. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile appNot sure if they won or not I got it on the DVR to watch later but if they lost them year they will drop Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
Uspshoosier Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Joe Lunardi still had us in at 13-13 earlier this week. Conference record means zero when it comes to the selection process. This new NET system would work in our favor as we'd be in the top 15 in Quad 1 wins if we win out the regular season. The committee thinks highly of the B1G this year. If we go 17-14, we're in. Book it. Not gonna happen but we have a chance. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appLunardi would be the 68th seeded bracketoligist if there was a 68 seeded bracket. All of us bracketoligist project the field as if the season ended today so having them 13-13 and in just means that have really good top ended wins. From studying team sheets this week if IU finished 17-14 I wouldn’t like their chances regardless of how many quad 1 wins they have. Uspshoosier Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 The problem is that even with us winning out like that, we still went 8-12 in conference. Which the committee may not look at conference record, but at 8-12, they would look at it and say hell no. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appIf there was no conference tournament you are right they would say heck no but since there is a tournament if they went 8-12 and made the semi-finals or finals they would say heck yes depending on who they beat to get there Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

It’s cool to be mentally tough and well coached but when you get a defensive stop because the ref doesn’t call a mugging it helps. When you get extra free throws down the stretch when you weren’t touched, it helps. So mentally tough and well coached helps a lot when you call the fouls. It’s garbage and the conference suffers for it. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app It’s like this with every conference. I agree that it shouldn’t be like that. Just how it goes though Quote

Demo Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Without Azubuike and Vick KU is in trouble. Without those guys they’re, what, the 4th best team in their conference? Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app I think that stuff was all due to their football team becoming an Independent. But I agree with you they should have stayed in the MWC or looked to the Pac-12. Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app I would argue the WCC featuring Gonzaga every year and St. Mary’s most years is better than the MWC that has Nevada the past two years and no consistent contenders outside of that.
