Notre dame up 9 with 8 min to go.
Minny only down 7 with 11 min to go

Kentucky up 3 with 16 min to go

USA up 1 on Italy in mixed curling in  the 2nd end but Italy looking to have a multi score

If we're doing other sports here, USA 2 goals to nil on Honduras in WC qualifying. Honduras leads in frostbite 8-6. (St Paul in February...really?)

Notre Dame needed that win.  Nice road win at Miami.   They might not play another tournament quality team the rest of the regular season

They are at Wake Forest and Florida State.  Florida State has fumbled lately and is probably on the wrong side of the bubble, but at least for now Wake Forest looks to be in decent shape.

After the Miami game, I have them just on the right side of the cut line.  But yeah, the remaining schedule doesn't provide much wiggle room.  My system says a team that is a fringe tournament worthy team would win 5.97 (so 6) of the last nine games.  But that would be just over the cut line probably and in danger of losing a bid to an auto qualifier upset.  Probably need to go 7-2 or 6 and do well in the ACC tourney.

Dayton just destroyed VCU on the road.   Dayton has 3 home Q4 losses that will probably end up costing them but they are playing better.   Probably going to have win at St Louis and beat Davidson with no more losses to get in the conversation

What is your thoughts on the A 10?  Looking like  a 1 bid league?  Might depend on if whether Davidson loses in the A10 tournament (assuming Davidson doesn't have a bad slip up before then).

Davidson looks like the leagues only shot at an at-large for now.   St Bonaventure, Vcu and Dayton probably only other teams that could potentially get there.  St Louis is hot right now I would have to look at them a little closer.   Feels like the A-10 will end up with 2.   I don’t see Davidson winning the auto bid.   It will be a fun tourney to watch in March

It's certainly a balanced enough conference that it wouldn't be a fluke loss for Davidson to lose in the conference tournament.  I have Davidson safely in but the teams you mentioned -- St. Louis, VCU, and Dayton -- as being on the fringe of the conversation of even being in the fringes now.  VCU in the first four out for me until tonight, but that was not a good loss to have when you are the wrong side of the bubble to begin with.  My system very slightly prefers Dayton to St. Louis right now, but they would currently be in the 10-12th team out region.  Such a strange resume that Dayton has.

edit:  forgot about St. Bonaventure -- I have their resume as basically the same as St. Louis.  My current cutline is +0.94;  Davidson is +2.51, VCU is -.01, Dayton -.25, St.Bonaventure -.45, and St. Louis -.47.  Basically that means I have Davidson being 1 1/2 current wins above what was necessary to receive an at large bid;  VCU is 1 win below what they need, and the others are a little bit more than 1 win than they needed.
