2-0 since then. I have no problems coaches calling out players. I am sure they have been doing it for a while in the locker room but wasn't working.

Yeah, I'm sure that he he called his players unathletic and slow because they needed motivation.

Strange that the motivational techniques that his previous program was hookers and blow when they could have saved money by 'calling out his players' to the press.  And let's not act like the 'they are 2-0 since' means that they played two good games.  They beat Georgetown by 5 points.

Temple/Wichita St in OT, been entertaining. Temple isn’t good but they are always fighting the times I’ve watched them. If we are going to have to rebuild our roster thru the portal this summer, we could do a lot worse than Temple SG Jordan Riley

Back-to-back home losses for Sparty.  Not good.
And imo ohio state proving coaches do have a major impact. Negative and positive ways. Wonder why ohio state playing up after holtman let go?

So we should add him to our candidate list?

I absolutely would. Whatever “it” is, dude appears to have it. But I don’t imagine you’re selling that 1 to the money. But hey, hiring a young guy from Army coming off a losing season would presumably be a complete non-starter in today’s world. So maybe someone will show some vision and take a risk.

That’s the Shrewsbury comparable.

And while I have no idea if Shrewsbury would be interested, that’s still my #1 choice.

Doubt he’d be a candidate there, but if I’m Kenya I’m raising my hand on that job.

Wow. Am just seeing this.

ODU is about 10 miles from me. Wasn't an easy season in Norfolk. Jones had a heart attack when the team was in Hawaii and took a leave of absence. He's also been battling cancer -- and apparently had a flare-up recently, even after the heart attack.

They've had some real stability in their coaching position -- something like three coaches in the past 30 or so years. Will be interested to see who's next.

(Their previous coach -- Blaine Taylor -- had them as a regular NCAA threat. But he had some demons -- battled the bottle. He showed up just before game time one night, and people near the bench said they could smell the booze. This was just a couple days after he was badly slurring on his coach's radio show. He was fired the morning after that game.)
