That's a general amount of Indiana Basketball fans. most are casual followers which is totally fine. Just speaking the truth!

Celebrating the failures of other teams to drown out the inability of our program sums up most of our recent history. It would have been nice to have had a win or two in the NCAAs AND for puke to fall flat on their face. Instead we had to challenge them for turd laying in the first round. At least our cheerleaders got the ball from the top of the goal!

I will ALWAYS be glad to see pUKe get beat.  IU's performance is irrelevant to that equation; it would just be better if we didn't crap our khakis so badly.

Ditto! They can't lose enough! Although, as we've aged my puke friends have actually cheered for IU in some games. It's probably more of not seeing us as a threat as an elite of college basketball. It's just comical to "justify" a loss because another team lost too.

You lost to a 15 seed, only the 10th (?) time in history that's happened!

You got your doors blown off for your worst loss in NCAA history!

We're both losers...

IU had a win in the NCAAs.   B1G received a nice unit for that win.

B1G got 9 teams in so

B1G gets
9x339,000 = around 3 mil just for having 9 teams in

IU won a game in the NCAA tournament and received another unit

339,000

I get it. Difference of opinion. I think it's pretty cool for low mid-majors to have a better chance of wins in the tourney.

We made it to the first round of the NCAA and didn't advance from there. It's like we made the Monday qualifier on the PGA tour then had to withdraw after Thursday's first round.

Dude.....last night really sucked. But I think it's time to maybe have a banana and go sit outside for a while.

Thank you, I actually did both this morning. Pretty nice weather and beautiful sky this morning. What did you disagree with in the PGA reference? It does lack a little in that our qualifier was on a Tuesday and the PGA is on a Monday.

It’s like iu made a field of 68 tournament and in the history books got credited with its 40th ncaa tournament appearance and credited with its 66th win in the tournament.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion though so if you are anyone else doesn’t want to acknowledge the win even though the record books does that’s people choice

Absolutely! We earned the right to play in Portland in the first round (Monday qualifier in PGA terms) and then laid an egg (withdrawing after Thurday's round in PGA terms). I think it's cool they expanded the tourney to 68 teams and gives the little schools a chance to get NCAA tourney wins. I hold IU to a little higher standard and it's more than okay people view this differently. It's great that the record book shows we won a first four game and the Big 1.o got a little money for it.

Heck, in 10 years there might be another round or the first four might expand to first 16. That would be really cool for smaller schools to get more chances at wins. I'd like to see us back to consistently COMPETING for Big 1.o titles (regular and tourney) while making deep runs in the tourney. It's cool to see us back in the tourney but that should be a minimum for this program.

Absolutely IU won a game in the ncaa tournament and advanced to Portland.  Received another win in the record books for ncaa tournament wins to and added to their win total probably keeping them in the top 10.  Monday qualifying pga terms mean you are trying to qualify for the pga event that is on Thursday meaning you are not in the field yet.    Playing on Tuesday of a 68 field tournament means you are already in the field of 68.    If this tournament was a field of 64 tournament then you would be right IU wouldn’t of been in it but as the rules are it’s a field of 68 tournament not field of 64 no matter how bad people want to assume it’s a field of 64 tournament.   Fantastic tournament win for a program that hasn’t had one since 2016

My comment had nothing to do with the PGA reference, but since you mention it again, maybe a full day of, say 36 holes of golf would be a nice little Friday?

You are correct and that's what the record book shows. For me, and I'm sure some others, the first four is a good opportunity for those schools who typically don't have a great chance at getting wins in the NCAA tourney. It's about perspective and I'm glad we could add that to our win total. I view it differently in a historical perspective. A first four win was tremendous for what we've become as a program. It can and should add a little momentum moving forward.

36 holes of golf today would be wonderful! I've been spoiled and have become a fair weather golfer. While the weather is nice, it's not that nice. Plus, 36 holes in one day would be a lot e and e. I'm not sure I'd have the physical or mental capacity to concentrate for that long.
