Rupp rafters post:

If cal resigns or is fired, who are legitimate options to replace him?

Bennet from Virginia comes to mind. I doubt jay wright would be interested but worth sniffing around. Again long shot but could sniff around brad stevens.

what are other good options?

What a roller coaster week for IU.

It was just one week ago we played Michigan.

1.  Got down 17.  Posts of the program being dead abound.

2. Miracle comeback with IU closing on a 31-9 finish.  IU fans under the belief the tournament has been locked up.

3.  Play Illinois in a game that most IU fans think at most is to determine whether we are in play in or not.  Close game throughout, IU beat the Big Ten #1 seed.

4.  Play Iowa.  Up 9 late, goes down the wire....and lose on a banked three.  But still feeling decently.  Think we are looking at an 11 seed and a bye.

5.  Watch the selection show.  Go through three brackets and scratch our heads at the Michigan and Rutgers seeds.  Start to really wonder if the committee is just going to totally screw us and put us in the play or even leave us out.

6.  Find the assignment is Wyoming at the play in.  Not happy about it, but we're in the tournament.

7.  Beat Wyoming in a game that we pretty much controlled.  Game wasn't pretty, but the defense was really good.

8.  On to Portland.  Doesn't go well.

Overall:  21-14, 9-11 in conference, win two BTT games, win play-in game, lose bad in first round.

UK has now gone 7 seasons since its last Final Four and a whole decade since its last national title.

Calipari's first 6 seasons were excellent. His last 7 have been...meh. There are a couple Elite 8's in there, but he's not really scaring anyone like he used to. It's almost like Wisconsin knocking off their undefeated team broke the spell he had over college basketball for awhile there.
