In your world no one gets credit but in the real world they do. Again I don’t know what to tell you. I have 0 problem with your take on the matter. It just doesn’t mean anything regarding tournament selection. Call the ncaa and Disney and Fox and tell them your stance. Maybe they listen and change their criteria but I wouldn’t hold my breath. Until then I will keep judging teams how I have always done and that’s how the committee will do it. Your arguing a point that’s not going to change. And if it does, I will change and plan accordingly Stuhoo, thebigweave, HoosierAloha and 3 others 6 Quote

I just scrolled through a thread where you advocate for the eye test. Then I scroll through this one where you insist nothing matters in regards to Penn St. but their record. Even though USPS points out their metrics are pretty solid, regardless of record, and they have some really good wins. And a statement like “their record says they aren’t good” pretty much directly contradicts using the eye test. Can you throw us illogical folk a bone and help us get up to your level of logic? woodenshoemanHoosierfan, mamasa, thebigweave and 1 other 4 Quote

IUc2016 Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 The eye test would say that Penn State is good enough to lose. Also Good enough to beat Wisconsin at home and Virginia tech on the road by 20. Eye test would certainly say that too. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app thebigweave 1 Quote

Good, Bad, mediocre doesn’t matter. As of today teams that have a win over (6-7) Penn St have a quality Quad 1 resume building win thebigweave 1 Quote
IUc2016 Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Yet are still 6-7. If they were good, they wouldn't be 6-7. This isn’t a normal year. I’m not saying they are world beaters, but they are NOT a normal 6-7 team. They have played two teams that aren’t in the power 6. VMI and VCU. They also had a 3 week pause due to Covid. Please use a little more critical thinking, it is necessary. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app thebigweave 1 Quote

Good wins, solid efficiency numbers, other things teams are evaluated on are important except for when they aren’t. Their record tells us what a team is, except for when it doesn’t. Water is wet, but remember that sometimes water dries and therefore that water is not wet. You gotta get ya some that logic my friend. Logic is good....except for when it’s not? HoosierAloha Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Who needs Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless when you have Loaded Joe Xavier! Regardless of record, I don't think many people are looking at PSU as an easy win these days. Outside of Ill where they were blown out in both games, they've competed in every conference game. 4 point losses @ Michigan and O$U, 2 point loss at IU, 8 point loss at purdoodoo. Stuhoo Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 MSU looks like they are playing with no purpose whatsoever. And, they definitely got the wrong Hauser. woodenshoemanHoosierfan 1 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Zags are looking for a non conference game for next week. Doubt Baylor is available but that would be awesome. Looks like Houston has an open weekend for a game HoosierAloha and Stuhoo 2 Quote
