Joe DeLow Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 I'll be that guy and point out Blackshear's foot was out of bounds on VT's last possession. It should have been Duke ball with ~10 seconds left. And I’ll be that guy to point out that Duke should have lost to UCF but the zebras came to save the day. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app I agree Duke got calls in that game but it would have been a moot point if UFC could have hit one of their last two or three shots. Quote
Uspshoosier Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 I got a bracket alive in espn I think it’s chronic Hoosiers bracket challenge (1St in chronics) that as of now went 16-16 for the sweet 16 and just went 6-8 for the elite 8. Overall in the 99% and 115,000 out of 10 million Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Hollywood Mike Miranda, thebigweave, LIHoosier and 3 others 6 Quote

DChoosier Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 I have very mixed feelings about Auburn but feel bad their best player hurt his knee. Really bad luck. Cheating aside (ie an assistant coach pleading guilty) they looked awfully good against UNC. I have been impressed with the speed of UNC’s transition offense but Auburn’s speed....holy S#&T. Quote

Hoosier Guy Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Virginia’s defense is going to have to win them the game. They can’t keep up with Purdue’s shooting Quote
Hoosier1984 Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 I just have a feeling the way Purdue is shooting they will win by about 20.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
Joe DeLow Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Purdue hasn’t played a defense as well as Virginia’s. But look for a boring low scoring game. Virginia has good hands. I fully expect for them to make it hard for Edwards. Where Purdue has the advantage is how good of a creator Edwards is and their presence down low with Haarms and Williams compared to Virginia. RatpigHoosier Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 I’m hoping UVA’s defense is more disciplined than Tenn’s was. I know they were trying to get up in the shooters’ faces, but I saw more than a few times when the bigs would cheat up to help on screens and Edwards, Cline or Eifert would hit Haarms streaking toward the rim for a dunk. If my casually trained eye saw it I’m sure Bennett is all over it and will make it more difficult for Purdue to do that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

I watched plenty of wide stance, firearms out, shuffle feet, push into defender, let running back break through the hole screens against Tenn. I know people don’t want to hear it but a few of these recent games have been decided on how they’ve been called. To add, I’d probably take everyone for UVA over everyone for Purdue (with the exception of Carsen probably) any day. It’s just whether Bennett lets them open things up if they need to. Quote

Purdue probably has the advantage in depth, but UVA's starters are very good. If UVA hits open shots, they'll win. Their offense has gotten them a ton of good looks in the tournament, but they've been really cold. They're never going to score 80, but they should have scored a lot more than they have the last 2 games. They've missed so many open shots. I think Guy is 2-20 from 3 the last 2 games, and at least 10 of those were very open. He and Hunter were terrible against Oregon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
