BGleas Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Just heard a stat in the ISU/KU game. iSU's point guard leads the country in assist/to ratio, but the stat is that he hasn't had consecutive games with more than 1 turnover the last two years. Quote
bnkepner Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 B1G FOY Race Trimble Russell Jimbo The other two are more complete players at this point. Trimble is far ahead of Russell too. Russell has disappeared in big games. Against lesser talent he has had great games but falters against big competition Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Trimble is far ahead of Russell too. Russell has disappeared in big games. Against lesser talent he has had great games but falters against big competitionkindly disagree. Russell has been the man. He's had a few stinkers but he has carried a talented O$U team. He commands his teammates respect and they look to him as a frosh to make the big play. Idk if you all watched, but Dan Dakich said the B1G hasn't seen a guard with his offensive skills since Eric Gordon, and then he said, Gordon knew how to draw fouls but Russell is a more polished and versatile scorer than Gordon. Trimble is adept at drawing fouls as well. Quote
BGleas Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Agree on Russell. Trimble is 5th in the country in FTA. kindly disagree. Russell has been the man. Against lesser talent he has had great games but falters against big competition I don't see where you're coming from with Russell really. 27 and 14 against a good Iowa team today. 21 4 and 6 against Michigan. Was off against us and still went for 13 and 8. 27 against Minnesota. That's just his last 4 games. All against at least average teams. If I was starting a team today, I'd take Russell. Trimble is just on the better team playing more efficiently. rebelhoosier848891, BlueDevil and WayneFleekHoosier 3 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 On Big Ten Elite tonight, they highlighted the 2012-2013 Michigan team. GRobinsonIII said the @Indiana game was the loudest game he ever played in. Also, they said T Hardaway was soooo pissed when VO did his time expiring windmill flush. I love these shows. Also, you don't even want to hear about Coach Beilien's preparation for Syracuse that year. They put in "30 new actions" to attack the 2-3 zone and heavily tested/prepared McGary to run the high post. Quote

I remember thinking that game was the loudest IU game, start to finish, I'd ever heard on TV. It was insane. It won't be anywhere near that loud for a long time, unfortunately. Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 And that crummy block call on Trey Burke. That was a terrible call. Quote

bnkepner Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Just as I thought---Arizona dominated Utah. Utah is the pretender. Utah isn't a pretender. They are a good squad! It was one game. There are multiple players Id trade off this squad for Delon Wright and Jake Poetll off Utah Quote
bnkepner Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 As far as the Russell/Trimble/JBJ comparison its funny to compare Trimble and JBJ stat wise. JBJ averages more points, rebounds, and steals. Trimble averages more assists. Interesting to look at IUsafety 1 Quote
