ou812dude Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 no way. IMO Sweet Sixteen at best. you're probably right...I'm hoping for somebody to break into the mix this year... maybe even a Wichita or Wisconsin... honestly...anybody but UK... sidenote: if Duke continues to win em...then I eventually will have to root against them as well...UNC is already on that list for obvious reasons. OliviaPope40 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I say Villanova is a final four team. Quote
TheWatShot Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I have to admit that I feel a tinge of jealously that they were able to get Haas late in the recruiting process. I agree. It blows my mind that they're able to get an out of state player like him but we can't for some reason. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Wisconsin... we all hate Bo and the Badgers... but they do run a motion offense that draws fouls... and they are disciplined in that offense... honestly...why would officials favor the grinch and cheese heads? Because they are the Big Ten's biggest and brightest hope this year---protected at all costs. And----unusual foul proportions are common in the Kohl Center----must be the gravitational pull on the other teams or something! ou812dude 1 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Right now---I am picking Duke over UK in the championship game------Calipari's superior talent is not enough as once again he gets outcoached in the championship game. WayneFleekHoosier and Hutch89 2 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Evansville lost another heartbreaker tonight. Evansville had a one point lead with one second left and lost on a last second shot! And it was poorly defended I might add. Geometry Hoosier 1 Quote
OliviaPope40 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Butler last night lost a game they should not have lost. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Any given night. I think I have UK, Duke, Louisville, Arizona, Gonzaga, Wisconsin, Iowa St, Virginia, Villanova then a hodgepodge of 20 or so teams in the mix including, Notre Dame, Kansas, O$U................ Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Good for IU to see Maryland get that 64-57 loss to the Illini tonight. Just goes to show that life on the road in the Big Ten is not easy----no matter who you are playing! Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Drilling down-----Trimble had 17 for the Terps. Guard Malcolm Hill went off for the Illini---28 points. Eqwu----had 11 points and 9 boards. I hope Illinois victories do not become a habit this year----I feel your pain on that one Hovadipo! Good win for them after the key injury. I mean...talking about Evansville basketball is like talking about the cold in January... is it cold tonight in Indiana? well...let me put it this way...if bears have claws and bras have boobs...then it must be cold in Indiana tonight... ohh and Evansville must be losing a heartbreaker too... rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 #12 Kansas survives against #21 Baylor------56-55. Yawn----every year numerous Big 12 teams are ranked highly and usually underperform in the big dance! WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Louisville beats Clemson in an uninspiring performance---58-52. Why couldn't we have played THAT Louisville.... WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Ouch---Watch it now---UE is the only D1 team we have down here in deep southwest Indiana----and they have the IU ties from the past with Crews and now with Simmons. We root for the local school when IU is not playing. They actually are pretty scrappy this year ---with good guard play. Their record is about the same as IU's and they have lost a couple they should have won. That sounds familiar! :) Hutch89 1 Quote

Why couldn't we have played THAT Louisville.... ummm...we played the same Louisville... it's just that Clemson contained Harrell and Rozier a little better than we did... but...Clemson still lost the game, so the joke's on them for the defensive effort. Why couldn't we have played THAT Louisville....remember Rebel, IU makes below average offenses look like they are runnin' Harlem Globetrotter sets against us. I'd love to play against us. We give any open look the opposing team wants, cuz we just want to get the ball back fast and run up the court. It's unreal. Bear down, play some dang defense for once in your life. Get a STEAL then fast break. For the love of James Naismith! MikeRoberts, GloryDays and rebelhoosier848891 3 Quote
