And it seems like people would be much more OK with losing to UNLV than to Eastern Washington...

Definitely effect of a name brand versus a lesser known school. Objectively, losing to EWU is not as bad as losing to UNLV, but subjectively, it's much worse.

I watched that game and I think Goodluck is actually pretty solid.  He's bad offensively, always was, but his defense and shot blocking are pretty good and would definitely have helped us.

I'd say of all the guys we missed on (Pinson, Anthony Lee, Goodluck Okonoboh) he'd be the best.

After seeing them play Im glad we "missed" on them. Yes Goodluck would've added some defensive help but not much

The EWU loss though was just bad because of how it happened. We had the game won and EWU did not look to be a problem. We lost not because they were a team to be reckoned with but because we could not finish the game. We could not defend and gave up layup after layup during the last 5 mins.

Last year we had a lot of similar losses in the BT and were equally bothered. Games we control throughout but cannot close out.

Sure EWU being the team that came back did not help but the manner on which we lost was this issue for me.

At this point, I think if we didn't lose to EWU people would be over the moon with the season. Take care of Georgetown and we are right back on track.

If Perea shows up against Georgetown also, I'm not sure we necessarily "missed" on any big

Hanner's assertiveness has been encouraging... you're right on about the EWU loss. At the end of the day, that won't be a bad loss. We will have worse losses upcoming almost assuredly.

Georgetown presents a challenge different than any other so far.

Yeah---they are not as strong offensively.

Georgetown's leading scorer is Smith-Rivera but he only shoots 27% from 3 point range and 39% overall.

But their D is solid----look like Louisville-Lite.

Their D will keep them in the game and we will have to hit shots to beat them!

So much for stats.

Smith-Rivera shoots 5 of 7---- over 70% from 3 point range against IU today! :scratchhead:

Figures!
