Could be a very interesting Shertch.

They could, and probably will, do worse. But, man, that’s a top 4 job in the country by any measure. Even in the world of 10 years ago they could have had anyone in the country other than probably Scheyer. If they don’t end up with a Golden or an Oats or an Otz, someone like that, it’s really gonna put the nail in coffin of the assumptions we used to make about this stuff. If UK ends up with Pope and UNC ends up with, say, McCasland, that would just blow my mind.

Wichita st was down big in the first half at Tulsa but are up 1 when 3:41 onto.    4th time this year these teams have played.   Winner goes to the NIT semifinals

Tulsa wins it

Prepare to have your mind blown.

I’m gonna be a little extra pissed when UNC brings in a heralded and proven coach. After IU had 3 tries and underwhelmed each and every time.

Lol if they get dusty I will be extra annoyed

That'd be great. Get Dusty out of the B1G. Also, maybe we can pry him more easily from an out of conference foe? (I don't know about the last part ha ha. But it would be great to get him out of Michigan.)

Field of 68 guys are saying Donovan, Dusty, Lloyd, Otz, and Byington.  They'd be surprised if it went further than that.

Can’t see any of them except Byington. He’s not a UNC guy but he is a South Eastern Atlantic Coast guy. Close enough

That’ll be the only move that doesn’t enrage me. I’m prepared to be enraged.

Kansas likely opens up this offseason too

UNC fans don't seem to have a ton of faith in their athletic department at the moment.

The guy responsible for Bellichick has stepped down from the board but doesn't seem like a lot of fans are confident in their "process" at the moment. They are factoring in the need to buy him out (maybe that's premature) lol. Also have long term concerns about the fact their football program lacks support. Some more alarmist fans calling it an existential threat to their basketball program...

Going to be a very interesting carousel with Kansas also possibly hiring

Kansas is on an insane coaching hire run. They’re the anti-Indiana. If they nail it again we need to send our best researchers to their athletic dept.  They’re the only school I can think of who have poached a B1G coach this century.

This will be the first time in 50+ years UNC has went outside the family. I don’t even know if there are any plausible UNC candidates. I’m fairly interested in their search.

I remember Wes Miller being hyped up before he went to Cincy. But that might have tarnished any hope and probably why he went to Charlotte.

IMO no shot with any of these guys except Byington.

Which is why it won’t get passed that list bc they put the guy on there that will definitely take it if offered. He is a good coach though and would win. If I were them I’d offer him out the gate to get the staff in place asap and get the roster settled.
