I lived in Texas for a brief period, and knew a sports reporter down there who at the time, covered Texas A&M hoops. Can't remember if it was when we hired Sampson or Crean, but he swore up and down that we offered Gillispie the job. I always have and always will call BS on that ... Quote

This guy looked like a can’t-miss superstar coach before Kentucky hired him. Turned around a couple Texas programs that were basically dead, and made them big winners. I can’t help but note that Chris Beard’s career is eerily similar. Quote
