Hoosier Hysteria Role Call

Recommended Posts

Crean was not his usual self tonight---hope he did not get bad news before he came out such as on the Bryant front.  Maybe he knows this year is just going to require less talk and more action!

He looked really fit .May be he's gone into warrior mode.He knows the pressure's on and its time to go to work.

Yeah, agree.

Just making a point.

I think Devin, Zeisloft, Holt, Hoetzel are legit. I don't know why, but I really like Hoetzels long term potential. Seems to have a Stauskus thing about him. Not on that level but similar.

I don't think Hartman pans out.

Just saying WE NEED our CORE to be made up of 4 and 5 star players to be national contenders unless we hit the lotto like Butler/Wichita State.

No surprise to me who the best players are.

I know tonight was just an exhibition and all but after seeing Max tonight. I think he may get more playing time than I originally expected. Yogi, Z3, JBJ, and RoJo can really shoot the basketball. Ritchie was quite a surprise for me in the dunk contest and as well in the scrimmage. I agree with some of you here on Troy, seemed to disappear in the scrimmage. Oh and I still love Stans game.

Now on HMP. Some of you may disagree but I still think he's got a ways to go. He might be "slightly" more polished. On Holt, I like what I see. The potential is there and I think he will be a really good 4 year player but offensively. He still has ALOT to learn. DD's game looks a bit better and you can see he is obviously is stronger!

This is just my 5 cents guys.

My take on HH this year is that it seemed to lack the excitement of previous years, no pep band to get the crowd pumped up, Crean was distant and acted very different from his normal self, sage Steele was okay but I seem to remember her being much better the last time, and there were too many long pauses/silences. Idk the crowd just seemed subdued as compared to previous years. It was missing something

I wasn't there this year but recall in the past, even when we were preseason #1, there were too many lulls in the event, just really long pauses where nothing was happening and was hard to get the fans jacked and in he mood. They need to do better with the transitions and stop with the silent pauses.

Those long periods of nothing going on are where the cheerleaders and pep band should be cranking up the crowd. Where were they?

Someone in the athletics office made the decision after the #1 seed season to pull the band for more seats and replace them with a dj. There is actually a surprisingly large contention of people I know who won't go to the event since the full basketball band got pulled. People are still upset about it, especially since AH isn't being close to filled.
