Stinking UK practice on ESPNU now

Recommended Posts

I have ZERO issue with Calipari doing this for his players. It's a tremendous recruiting advantage and perk for UK players.

I do have an issue with ESPN televising the event. I do have an issue with the NCAA allowing an event like this to happen. Why stop there john? You should offer an online package to watch EVERY practice all year for $999.99. I'm sure you'd make a killing!

My issue with the NCAA on this, is mainly the timing of the event. Football programs can have Pro Days on their campus, but that's different because those are post-season, before the draft and only with guys eligible to be drafted.

This isn't a scouting combine, this is a promotional/recruiting piece for Cal/UK. I'd have less of a problem if it was for just guys declared for the draft and after the season. This is more about being on ESPN and having all those NBA scouts on campus on a recruiting weekend, than it is about helping his current players.

With that said, Cal is a great marketer and knows what "sells".

It is an unfair recruiting advantage.

It would be a little different if it was post-season but pre-season is just ridiculous!

  Like they need another one!

Hopefully there's not enough balls to go around to feed the egos this year and it blows up in Squidward's smug face.Have I mentioned I hate that program and all it represents?

He keeps trying to say he is going to platoon his guys with 20 minutes a piece. We will see about that. Maybe against Liberty and State U but no way he keeps to that promise.

He's bound to piss people off this year.

But what do they care, they get paid either way.
