How's everyone doing?

Recommended Posts

I applied for a promotion at work that they ensured I was a shoe in to get. They brought in someone from the outside because "they need my leadership where I am"

I could smell the cow crap falling out of his mouth.

In 2013 I had a seasonal job that I loved, even though the pay wasn't stellar. It ran April through October (I work two other jobs during the school year). When October ended, they said to just re-apply next spring and they'd hire me back. Spring arrived, I applied, and they hired the parent of someone else who worked there, saying I "just didn't have the right personality" for the job.

This was going on about the same time IU basketball took a massive dump and the Pacers imploded, so needless to say I wasn't exactly loving life at the time.

I've since been hired back because another employee quit. Still, I trust no one when it comes to jobs anymore.

My general mood is ultimately determined by IU Basketball. It's gotten to a point where friends and coworkers know the outcome of games without watching

My freshmen year of college we didn't have cable in our dorms and my roommate and I just had Braveheart on a loop on our VCR player. When you got back to the room you'd just pick up wherever it was at. Good times!

Yeah---Dalton26---if I am flipping channels and Braveheart is on----I just have to stop and watch it again!

FREEDOM!

Such a classic tale and so true to life-----the people who are on your side and supposed to be the ones you can trust---are often the very same ones that stab you in the back!  Life lessons.  But--that must not keep us from pushing on and standing up for what we believe----even on an IU message board!
