The only thing I hate about this is that if LeBron loses some media people will be like "3-5 in the  Finals, LeBron sucks." This Warriors team is the most talented team in NBA history. Michael Jordan and the Bulls wouldn't beat them.

It's better to lose in the conference finals than the finals, everyone knows that. Actually, the earlier you lose, the better. Or whatever narrative the "Finals record, man" crowd comes up with.

For real though, I've never understood that argument. Like I understand that Jordan went 6-0 in the Finals, and that's incredible, but to act like it's better to lose before the Finals than in them is crazy. I can't see any argument in favor of Lebron's career being better if he was 3-0 in the Finals and had in the conference finals instead of the NBA finals the other 4 years. It wouldn't make any sense.

I have literally seen him jump on top of David West and West got called for the foul.

Im sorry but look up favoritism in the dictuonary and there's a pic of Lebron

Sorry man I'm just too mad about this game to have a rational discussion right now lol.

Beyond the Jordan discussion he should have won more with the Heat. Two titles with the Heat just wasn't enough. This team is not even close to beating the Warriors. What he did last year was amazing. One of the best Finals performances I have ever saw. But I think that's why people were up in arms over the Finals record. He should have 5 titles. He built that team with the sole purpose to win multiple titles and went on stage and said so. People feel the GOAT should elevate the talent around them. But no person expects this team to beat the Warriors. Literally it would be impressive if he takes them 6. He just can't have 8 turnovers though. No way they can win giving up that many offensive boards let alone the turnovers.

I mean he was only there for four years and he won two titles. He made it to the Finals all four years. By the end of his time there he was carrying the team. In 2014 they lost 4-1 and he put up 28/8/4 on 57/52/79 shooting. Bosh and Wade COMBINED had 29/9/3.6 in the Finals. They were both supposed to be superstars at that point but no one ever criticizes them for coming up short. He puts up the same numbers as the other two superstars combined and still gets all the blame. He choked his first year against the Mavs, but that's the only Finals he should've won that he didn't. As for elevating his teammates, he does that more than anyone else in NBA history, imo. He took a team starting Drew Gooden, Boobie Gibson, Sasha Pavlovic and Zydrunas Ilgauskas to the NBA finals. He went 66-16 with Delonte West and Mo Williams as his starting guards

He gets the blame because he is the best player. Right or wrong that is the way it is in every sport. Dan Marino put up some of the greatest numbers ever with the least talent. He didn't win a title. He isn't in the conversation of top QBs ever. Karl Malone probably one of the top Power Forwards of all time isn't in the same conversation with others due to not winning one. Kobe spoke a lot about the need to win one without Shaq to cement his legacy. Fair or not he put that team together. They should not have lost one Finals in those four years. 28/8/4 is good, but every year we see better. In a 7 game series his team is winning he always puts up better numbers. Nobody has ever said Wade and Bosh was on James level. It was his team. Nobody views it as a Heat loss. They view it as a loss of the top star.

I understand that's the way people look at it, but it's a simpleminded approach imo. Too many variables go into winning a championship to use it as the end all, be all when debating players.

I was watching the tnt NBA show the other day and Charles Barkley was talking about how if LeBron wins this championship he would consider putting him ahead of Kobe on his all-time list. Like really, Kobe Bryant? I can completely understand people putting Jordan ahead of him, but Kobe? Kobe was like the store brand version of Jordan. Kobe had the most dominating player I've ever seen in his prime as a teammate. Give LeBron prime Shaq and see how many rings the two of them win. He ignored the fact that LeBron is a better shooter, passer, defender, rebounder and teammate than Kobe ever was and goes straight to the "5>3, so Kobe>LeBron" argument. It just seems like the lazy way to argue for media talking heads that don't want to dive deeper.

It's all talk. Give LeBron Shaq in his prime and they would dominate. Would they though? Wade and Bosh were two top players at their positions when they made that "super" team. The talk was how they were going to dominate the league and win not 1, not 2, not 3...

It's easy to say a hypothetical team would dominate but completely different to actually do it. LeBron has lifted some teammates while some have wilted under pressure.

If the refs are going to be this bad I want the Cavs to start taking guys out. This is ridiculous

It'll even up in Cleveland. The league wants this to go minimum 6 games. btw, is that tweet you linked from a guy in Scotland? Sounds hilarious.

No idea haha, I didn't even realize there was someone talking in the background until you mentioned it. It was just the first video I found of that play.
