Hovadipo Posted April 17, 2017 Author Posted April 17, 2017 I thought they weren't going to call that travel on Lebron. I was halfway to turning the TV off. Quote

mdn82 Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 This is wild. Shows how much the game has changed. Yep it is crazy to think but that dude only shot more than 3 3's per game 3 times in his career. That is one man that probably isn't much more than a rotational guy in today's NBA. He average like 24-10-6 I believe, but he wasn't a power player. Edit: Lol I know I will get blasted for that, but his lack of athleticism would kill him in today's game. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Hoosierfan2017 and BtownBanner6 2 Quote
Hoosier Guy Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Being down just five at the half is really good. Pacers have this Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app I just checked out his stats, he averaged 0.7 made 3s per game for his career. I had always thought of him as a three point shooter based on the way people would talk about him and stuff. Crazy. I've never really liked Bird because I think his game was boring, so I'm biased, but that's a take I can get on board with. mdn82 1 Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app OK, you guys finally dragged me in to this lol. Comparing across generations is always dicey. But Bird had the highest bb IQ I've ever seen. Given the advanced training of today, I think he'd be just as good if not better than Dirk. And as a Laker fan, I hated Bird when he played. But the dude did things on a court that a slow, unathletic guy had no business doing. mdn82 1 Quote
Hoosier Guy Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 I still don't think this game is over though. It's just an 11 point deficit with ten minutes left Quote
Hovadipo Posted April 18, 2017 Author Posted April 18, 2017 Series is over. Pacers can't guard the 3. Cavs can't miss the 3. Bird wants to run and shoot and has a total of 2.7 players that are capable of doing that well. Quote

If Bird could have given Vogel 3 quality guys off the bench we probably beat the heat at least 1 of those years. Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 The Cavs can't maintain a lead worth a crap. Quote
HoosierAloha Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Funny to hear the announcers refer to calls as "fortunate." Quote

I'm more annoyed by guys getting paid to call the games on national broadcast, Barry was an idiot at the end. LBJ moved an entire foot on the screen that set up the Irving layup, he said it was a great screen, Turner gets called for a foul which was a clean deflection, Barry only has to say there was probably a grab of the jersey, then Shumpert flops, Barry thinks he just embellished. If you didn't see the play shut you're mouth. Quote
KingPG21 Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Memphis is horrible. They can't even compete with the Spurs Quote
