Good lord not the Kawhi argument. Anything but the Kawhi argument.

Sorry Im gonna bring it up when he thinks Sam Hinkie is an idiot for draft a C who knew was not gonna play for awhile, Noel and Okafor. Hinkie was close to getting D Russell for Okafor. At the time of both of those picks most GM's would have done the exact same. I am completely cool with Simmons, Embiid, Okafor, Saric, Covington and McConnell. Throw in the next 3 drafts and add at least 2 or 3 top 5 talents or trade them for a big name and I think Hinkie did just fine. Most Sixer fans do as well.

Yeah I don't really care about the Sixers thing, just saying the Kawhi argument always has and always will be invalid.

If thats invalid then by all means should drafting the BPA at each point when they were picking. I am still happy about it. Idc about the Pacers at all but every team makes mistakes and what ifs. Comes down to what you have now and in the future. Sixers have plenty to be excited about and Pacers do with Turner. If they get a guy that helps them contend then PG stays and Bird looks great from todays standpoint. If he leaves and they get nothing it is a very bad deal for the franchise. The Cavs just got Deron Williams and probably gonna sign Larry Sanders so the East is theirs again so. Now Yogi will be handed the keys officially so I am very happy.

“I kind was on the ropes just like you guys were on what was about to happen,” he said. “It was kind of a dark moment of uncertainty. That was the frustrating part. You want me to be your guy here. I thought I would have been in the loop a little more on that.”

Idk if this trade deadline could've been handled more poorly by the Pacers. Embarrassing.

When was the last time this franchise was run competently a few year stretch acquiring Vogel, Lance PG and West.

How much of that was just luck though?

Well Pacers fans at least you dont have Bryan Colangelo. Ben Simmons is done for the year after telling everybody he would play in January then January turned into March now March is next year. Joel Embiid was listed day to day and will have missed almost 15 games when he returns. Now the league is looking into us for our injury protocol. One of the hardest things to get nailed for is the first here. Literally every rookie we have drafted first the last 4 years has missed at least half of their rookie year so that doesnt bother me. Telling the fans we will see a kid play and then constantly lying bothers me a lot. Sorry rant over. I know no one else cares about the Sixers lol.

Trust me that sentiment is shared all over the fan base. The Raptors had offered Ross and their 1st at one point, the Pacers even offered Joe Young and their 1st which will be in the teens, the Celtics had offered Marcus Smart or Avery Bradley for him and a cpl 2nds from us in the offseason. We could have gotten some good deals for Okafor sooner too if he would have pulled the trigger since one had to go. Rumor was Bogut was supposed to be traded right after for Rozier and we were fine with that. Now it looks like he is waived and joins them for nothing. BC literally made that deal to get to the salary cap floor. Lol idc what anyone says about Hinkie he at least set us up w two franchise potential players and a bunch of picks that bring talent through draft or trade. The injury stuff just adds to it. I feel you Pacer fans pain.

As a Pacers fan, I'm thrilled we didn't make that trade for likely a half year rental in Noel. I didn't even want Okafor, didn't fit alongside Myles. Myles is a C, don't want him away from the rim as a PF chasing those guys. I'm disappointed we didn't give a 2nd rounder to rent out Nick Young or someone at SG, but overall no trade is better than a bad trade.

Yeah, and in the trade that was being thrown around for Okafor we kept Jefferson. So we'd have two centers that don't really fit this current era of the NBA. Plus moving Turner to guard 4's makes no sense, like you mentioned.
